We have just walked out of the restaurant due to the poor service. We walked in to see if they had any tables available for two, the waiter huffed before seating us. We ordered a bottle of wine which he brought to the table, plonked it in and walked away. Whilst we were trying to get the attention of at least two of the waiters that were stood at the bar area doing nothing, the table behind us did manage to get their attention as they were still waiting on their starters. We then ordered our food. Less than 5 minutes later they brought out mains to us that we hadn't ordered. I'm sure the table behind will leave their own review on the complete cock up of their order, which didn't fill us with confidence at the way they dealt with that. We decided to leave and just pay for the wine, citing how they'd completely messed up their order, plus ours. The waiter tried to tell us we'd have to pay for the mains we ordered. We asked which ones as they'd tried to give us someone else's, and that we weren't paying for anything other than the wine as we'd ordered the mains less than 5 minutes ago. We managed to only pay for the wine by attending firm on it. I can't comment on the food as we didn't get to taste it, but the complete lack of hospitality and inability to get orders correct, we never will as we won't be going back

Meal absolutely dreadful which really has surprised me as normally very good especially when eating in. Food must have been ran all over town , food leaked , chips looked boiled n cold, Nan bread very dry .

We spent our Christmas staff party here. There were 20 of us and every single person said the food, atmosphere and service was absolutely incredible! We could not recommend everything more. Everyone was so attentive right from start to finish and everyone said they?d be back to taste the amazing food again! Thank you. Couldn?t recommend more!

Came here last Friday and was expecting the same service as last year however i was really disappointed with the service, the manager had earplugs in and seemed unbothered. Food was great it was just the service that really let me down.

Lovely staff and a great vegetarian selection. We just ordered loads of side and shared between the two of us and it was really lovely. Definitely worth a visit! Thank you :)

I?ll start by saying this is the 2nd time in as many weeks that we?ve dined here, after a 20 year gap.
Last week we had a lovely meal having arrived without a booking.
In an empty restaurant, we were led to a table that had been previously used, not set up and without menus.
Drinks arrived and we ordered. My wife?s dish was as last week, and every bit as good. I ordered a slightly spicy dish which was as hot a curry as I?ve had.
Having had our fill, we then waited for the bill, whilst the sole attendant paced up and down, on the phone, which I assume was a personal call.
We weren?t looking for excellence, just pleasant.
Sadly, that lacked.

Lovely food. Have visited a million times. Caters for large groups but at times struggles with the demand as we tend to get food a lot later than other people (literally as others finish sometimes) but we have had groups of 20 so its probably not the easiest

It's sad to see this once great restaurant decline. It looks like it hasn't been decorated in 30 years. The cutlery, tableware and glasses all appear to be from an 80's catering service closing down sale. The food is nice but just not nice enough to make it worth returning. Need to watch a few of these save-my-business shows: slim down the menu, spend some money on a deep clean and a makeover, use fresh ingredients which speak for themselves

Visited as a group of 10 on a mid-week evening, we were the only ones present in the restaurant which may make my next point a bit of an outside example. Service was brilliant considering the size of our group, food and drink ordered effeciently, Cobra lager on tap, which in my mind is a curry house staple.
Welcomed with poppadoms and flavourful chutneys whilst our currys were being prepared. I ordered Lamb Balti, plain naan and also shared pilau rice and chips. The balti had a tasty base gravy, tender pieces of lamb and was presented with coriander to garnish, this paired well with the plain naan allowing me to retain those flavours when all parts of the meal were brought together. The naan, whilst fresh just didn't have that softness in the texture that I'd associate with a good naan just out of a clay oven, and curry just didn't knock me out of the park enough to bump this up to a five.
There is no parking on site - but options nearby with a pay and display

Food was good however everything else was disappointing. We'd pre-booked for 6 of us and the table wasn't ready when we arrived. We had to ask to have our order taken whilst others who arrived after us were served. Poppadoms arrived but no plates. We had to ask for extra condiments as there was insufficient for 6 of us, and we also had to ask for napkins. Although the food was good, it could have been hotter and we had to wait for the rice which had been forgotten. Unfortunately our first visit was poor with the service dire. We were from out of town and will not be returning.
