Called in for at late lunch today coming back from Manchester. Haven?t been for a while and I have to say we were not disappointed. Nice to see that the chef Zoe is still there, she is such a ray of sunshine. Manager Craig remembered us which is amazing such a great welcome

Obviously the food isn?t made with the finest quality local produce, but it still tastes fine and satisfying. Terrific value, £33 fed two children and two adults. A pie with chips, gravy and broccoli cost just £11. You?d expect to pay almost double in a higher quality restaurant. Our waitress was Daisy, and she was really friendly and provided great service.

Great pub. Not even our closest but we consider it our local. Dave is brilliant, brings the dog water every time and encourages playing of the piano. Great atmosphere. Free pool on a Monday is a bonus!

Popped in at lunch this week for the first time, with a friend who has additional needs. Staff member Dave was extremely helpful and patient. The food was good, and the chips actually tasted like proper chips. The coke mixture was not watered down too much either, which was a nice surprise as everywhere seems to be cutting costs. I'd go here again.

Amazing rump steak melted in mouth and cooked perfectly to my request and the pie definitely was one of the best definitely visit again if in area.

Went there on Sunday, unfortunately the food was not that good, gammon tough, chips not fresh and egg hard.
I guess we probably went at the wrong time.

Lovely evening out. Just out for a few drinks. Service was amazing. Call out to Daisy. They could have turned the lights off and her smile would have lit up the whole pub. Will be back.

First time visiting and we were made really welcome by Dave the assistant manager. He gave us his menu recommendations, and so we ended up trying the starters too! Worth chatting to him if you're not sure what to have. Great food, great welcome, we will be back! I recommend the fish and chips, and Dave was right; the salt and pepper chicken small plate was smashing!
