Popped in for a quick lunch following a recommendation from a friend.Well thought out compact menu (changes monthly) offering nicely prepared meals with quality produce. Great knowledgeable service from all staff we dealt with during our early lunch time visit. Free small car park and communal areas spotlessly clean.

Stayed here for an event close by, the room was very big, the bed was very comfy and staff were very helpful, the only downside was the bathroom in our room (16) could probably do with a bit of modernisation as there was holes in the bath side, overall the room was fine for the price paid, I probably would stay here again if at another event.

Stayed here many, many times over the last two years, welcoming and friendly, staff very pleasant and helpful, excellent breakfasts, food in Restaurant and Bar very good, location perfect for Newcastle Night Life, overall excellent value for money.Update 15/03/2024 A BIG Thank you to Alleem, Jennifer and the wonderful wedding team, that made my daughter's wedding celebration on 24/02/2024 a FAB night to remember, many, many thanks, thanks also to all the lovely people that turned up and made it the magic night, that it was!

I took my mum to the hotel for our Mothers day meal, 3rd year running as mum and I enjoy the food so much. I can honestly say the hotel has the best chef in town. I will be booking for the breakfast and lunch as the menus looks most inviting. Gorgeous, very tasty, excellently presented and great value for the quality of food. The service provided is impeccable, the waitresses are so polite and attentive to your needs and the tables are laid beautifully with fresh white laundered linen. 5 star.... Keep up the good work everyone.... I look forward to returning very soon..... Definitely a must if you enjoy quality food and service.... ?????

We went for lunch in the Ostler Restaurant. The food was amazing, great choice and good quality. The team that served us were so attentive and made us feel really special - we enjoyed it so much that we are already looking to return.Food & drinks: Good drinks, good prices and great staff, lovely friendly feel, made us feel welcomed.

This hotel is like a home away from home... the significant advantage, apart from the cosy, clean, comfortable rooms and exquisite, delicious, wholesome food prepared to your preference, is the superb friendliness, warmth, helpfulness and professionalism of all of the staff ... from Louise and Tracy in reception to Manda and all of the staff in the Ostler restaurant and Gladstone bar... I will definitely visit again and again while my son is a student at Keele ??... the convenient location is also a major plus?Noteworthy details: I came back on January 17, 2024 with one of my sons and sister and brother-in-law... so happy to experience the warmth, excellent service and charm of this lovely hotel once again!Thanks to Mr. Sheikh, Becky, Kerry, Sarah Louise, Mark, Tida, Pauline (always so warm!), Julie and all of the friendly and caring staff!

Came for a couple of nights for my graduation. Cheaper than the Travelodge and with free WiFi. Lovely room. Very helpful and friendly staff; the chap on the desk helped me to find the back entrance when I came back late one night. Will definitely return when I am back in the area. Thoroughly impressed.

Was in a pickle at half 4 in the morning when my key broke and I couldn?t get into my flat. No locksmiths available for hours! Called this place and was able to book in last minute so I wasn?t sleeping on my doorstep for the night! Night staff / security was the nicest guy and I really appreciate his help. 5 stars!!!

Booked last minute directly for a one night stay in the annexe arriving early hours of the morning. Reservation process was handled promptly, professionally with ease. On arrival received surprise upgrade to an exceptional room which was immensely appreciated. Warm, comfortable, spacious with a fantastic shower and the all important cuppa for the morning. Wouldn't hesitate to return.

Christmas party, I've been here before and the food has always been very good, however it wasn't up to their normal standard. DJ wasn't the best either. Staff were all lovely.
