Only stopped to ask directions to a car park for a family walk. Took the rest of the family in for lunch & a drink after a long drive. The staff were very welcoming. The food was amazing & well priced. Very pretty pub with a beautiful display of flowers. The garden & the seating at the front of the pub offered pleasant surroundings. We just had to return after our long walk for a refreshing drink prior to our drive home. Thank you to everyone at The Red Lion.

I would like to make a comment about this absolutely brilliant pub. My parents lived in the village for over 25 years, just round the corner from the pub and I spent many memorable times in the pub with my Mum and Dad, it was their local and they loved having a drink in there with friends who have sadly passed as my parents have. They are buried in the village and we travel from Cheshire quite a few times during the course of the year to visit the graves and always call in The Red Lion for a drink and a bap and think about the times we have spent in this wonderful pub. The staff are always so welcoming and helpful and my husband says the baps are the best he has tasted anywhere. The pub is a credit to the landlord and I only wish we had a pub like this where we live, thank you so much for making our visits so enjoyable

It?s a proper traditional village pub that is now unique in the world of chain pubs and gastro pubs. Beer always good and the banter in the bar is typical of an old school pub. Always clean and welcoming

Best pub in the village. The landlord takes pride in his pub. Beer garden is perfect for a warm sunny day. Best cheese and onion sandwich I've had for ages

Really enjoyed dropping in to The Red Lion whilst on a walk in the area. The bread rolls were fab and the staff great. We even got to sit in the BBC (Boring B***ards Corner)!
