This review relates to the WH Smith operated Post Office within. Unacceptably long wait times and queues; extremely poor service and an absence of customer focus - not the fault of the individual staff members, of course, but a dreadfully managed facility nonetheless.

The post office part is incredibly badly run.Q. When do most working people go to a post office?A. At lunchtime.Q. When do the post office close 2 out of the 4 available tills and create a massive 30+ person queue snaking halfway down the shop?Are there no other staff that can cover?!Oh, and then one of the people working is new and doesn't know how to do certain things.So the other till grinds to a halt whilst the lady working on that one assists.What a way to run a business in the weeks before Christmas...

Tried the book cycle today and don't recommend using. The manager refused to take the majority of the books even though they were brand new (and in better condition than many of the books on the shelf). She was massively rude to her staff while checking the books and speaking in a very patronising way to them. I ended up not using the book cycle system at all despite going in with 12 books in very good condition as it wasn't worth the effort. The store itself isn't bad but the customer service from the manager especially was awful, 0 people skills and made me not want to shop here again

Good selection of books, magazines etc but the ignorant staff let them down.Stood in queue waiting to pay at self serve and rang the bell as it instructs ..the lady came saw me standing there waiting to pay.I went to give her the items and she turned away and picked up the phone.Why employ someone as rude as that when Wilkos are closing and there will be plenty looking for work

As a lot of WHSmith are downsizing now products available are not what they used to be. But this store is still a good size and has a wide variety of products. I went in for a book with my son (who was also looking for a book he couldn't find anywhere else) and we both found what we were looking for.
