I've come to this Toby a few times since moving to Lichfield, the food is delicious and the staff are very welcoming and do the best they can.
The building itself needs some much needed work and refurbishment.

Carvery was fresh and warm. Very busy on a Sunday but to be expected. Service was friendly.

Really disappointed with the breakfast this morning.
The food was ok - but we queued for 40 minutes and didn't get all of the vegan sausages that we had ordered despite asking multiple times.
Staff are pleasant - but just working in chaos

We went at 13:30 on Saturday 28th March. Didn?t get our table until gone 14:00.
Told the previous party were on puddings when they?d already had 2 hours of a 90 min allocated slot. Meaning they had 2.5 hours at the table in the end. For me, you should be saying they need to move to the bar area if they want desserts having already had 2 hours at their table on Mother?s Day weekend of all weekends as it was very busy.
Other staff at your establishment need a cold hard lesson in working as a team and not just dossing in the back kitchen too. Not impressed guys if customers, can see you doing it and not helping the poor bloke that was front of house doing the carving and having to fetch all the new meats too. A lot of young staff dawdling about with no get up and go. Come on, I?m a manager myself, no sign of any management team telling them to actually do something!
Food was of decent quality and the staff were kind to customers, just not to each other unfortunately and it was very noticeable and going on in front of customers.
Kid-friendliness: Highchairs and pushchair friendly tables available.

Great food but very unclean toilets. Was poo up the walls, door and floor in woman?s bathroom which my friend actually trod in! No toilet rolls in either 2 cubicles in 2 different toilet blocks. 4 total toilets.
Manager was friendly & apologetic although party confrontational & defensive. Was compensated in the end with not paying for the food but it was a challenge.

Had a loverly carvery here, food was nice and tasty and with a good portion of meat, it was clean and the staff were very pleasant. Only 1 issue there was no shots (cherry,vanilla ect) in the soft drinks machine.
Vegetarian options: Good choice of vegetables and nicely cooked, not hard

Nice wholesome Carvery with plenty of veg. Would've have some beef but it looked very fatty. Good offer of meals for £6.00 which we took advantage of.

always use too good to go app to get their breakfast. very good deal. food is nice. the place is a bit dated. carpark is massive
