Ok place never been before, good prompt service, welcome dogs, got a dog menu but didn't offer water for the dog which surprised me because so dog friendly. One member of staff smelt of stale sweat which wasn't very pleasant when eating, no excuse in this day & age. Food ok, deserts better than main course
Food and drinks: Ok if your in town for a quick bite but nothing over special

Location was amazing and staff were ok. Rooms were ok apart from the beds need updating as the mattresses are quite hard and dipped. Nasty smell in room over evening time.
TV in room but no channels installed and when auto installed is processed no channels are picked up.
Bottom base sheets on the bed were not very pleasant.
Breakfast was average. Apart from un buttered bacon sandwiches.

Convenient parking nearby in council car park (free at weekends) efficient booking in process, sent door codes that worked well.
Really nicely recently refurbished room, excellent value for money. Bathroom clean , plenty of towels.
Little cupboard with spare mattress and ironing board, radiator - nice extra touch.
The tea room was lively with a great choice of hot breakfast - the veggie option was excellent. One observation- could cereal be available as an option? My son wanted this but unfortunately it wasn?t offered.
Really good value , I had a great nights sleep and highly recommend it!

Brilliant breakfast

I really wanted to like this place but despite it being a quirky place with lots of memorabilia (perhaps a bit too much) the biggest disappointment was the breakfast. This tea room has plenty of good reviews and I am sure the food is otherwise good however my breakfast was not. Two of the smallest sausages I have ever seen one we'll done the other just about cooked but tasted cheap. Bacon was average but my plate was swimming in water from the mushrooms and the sliced tomato was just too much and looked unappetising. At £9.50 it was below par. I would like to point out that this is just a matter of taste but for me at that price I expected more. I have had better at Morrisons for less. Staff are quick and efficient the cafe is interesting and I'm sure other dishes are really nice.

Sadly no one attended to us at the front of the queue for almost ten minutes. When we were seated the seating was uncomfortable bare wood with a wonky table. We were stared at constantly during our visit by the person to the one side of our narrowly ill fitting table, and on the other side a hyperactive child swarking and leaning over our table. The decor was densely packed and over crammed with memorabilia from every ear since 1800, not just the 1800s ...some what confusing. When the food arrived the cutlery was covered in finger prints, only one very thin napkin was supplied. My baked potato was on the low end of average with barely anything to the salad. My partners fry up was completely wrong. He ordered asked for no black pudding or tomato.. ..it came with both. To top it off the knives were so blunt I couldn't cut into the potato skin, thus leaving half of my tiny meal. I wish we had waited and gone somewhere else. Sad visit :( Leek was our first and last visit. Nothing there. Bad manors everywhere.... traffic awful getting in and 10x worse getting out.Food & drinks: Poor
