This is what Sainsbury's used to be about.we used Sainsbury's for our go to shopping destination before they started to close the cafés, Hanley, closed, Newcastle, cafe closed, stoke, café closed so we were forced to use a alternative store, Morrisons which has a wide variety of café counters until we found that this Sainsbury's store at leek which still has a very excellent cafe with views but because of the distance involved makes it only once a week visit. The store itself is the usual Sainsbury's experience, excellent and 5+, staff well informed and friendly, wide isles, wide variety of goods and food at very competitive prices, a large lift to the second floor for the cafe, toilet's, large well spaced car park not forgetting the fuel garage on site. Well worth a visit if only to experience what Sainsbury's used to be like.update, yes they have closed the cafe so no more visits to Sainsbury's.

There's not too much to gripe about here as there's ample parking and a kids play area. That's good. However as our nearest supermarket I find its vegetable and fruit section limited. Theres no deli counter or fish section. Everything is already in packaging apart from the bakery. Lots of space between the Isles and feels like too big a building for whats in it. Theres a cafe and garage for fuel on your way in.

Easy and comfortable place to shop.
However availability and variety of products seems to have been reduced considerably over recent months

You have to take your own bags for loose veg, some of the fresh bakery isn't as fresh and worse they want you to slice your own bread on a machine that everyone with dirty hands use, we saw kids eating crumbs while coughing and sneezing

This is a very nice store overall. It is spacious, well-organized, and stocked with a wide variety of items. They offer some great deals and discounts across many sections, which makes shopping here convenient and affordable.
However, there are a few serious concerns. The quality of the vegetables was very disappointing. Some were clearly rotten, and a few even had visible fungus on them. This is unacceptable for fresh produce and needs immediate attention from the management.
Another issue is with the staff. Some of them were so focused on restocking shelves and adding more items that they did not seem to notice or care about the customers around them. At times, they blocked the aisles and made it difficult for people to move safely. It felt like customer safety and comfort were not a priority.
This store has potential, but the produce quality and staff awareness must be improved to create a better and safer shopping experience.
