Welcoming cosy cafe with fresh food and very reasonable prices. (My hot chocolate and bacon sandwich cost half what it does at other cafes in the area)
Got yourself a regular! I?ll pop by again :)

Our first time in Kinver for breakfast before embarking on our walk along the canal and up to Gibbet Wood. Tea cakes, toast with marmalade, tea and coffee for breakfast. There was a lot more we could have had and it all looked delicious. The ladies were so welcoming and one, the owner I guess, gave us some very useful information on how to get to the canal to start the walk. All in all a most pleasurable experience which will see us back hopefully for a full breakfast.

This is a lovely small cafe! The food is what stands out the most! Servers are always friendly! Quality and cost of food is top drawer. Apple cake is sensational! Although there is no loo. So go before!

Is it not law that places serving food have to offer toilet facilities? When I asked I was told there was no toilet ?were you allowed to use it before?? I said I hadn?t been there before and was told ?we only have the one in the house.? Will probably go back to Kinver later in the spring but will use one of the other cafés. I suggest that before you order food anywhere these days you enquire about toilets, if only to provide hands washing facilities. ?Because of Covid? is often, of course, a pretext for not offering proper facilities, but this place didn?t have them in the first place! The tea here was very good, but we found the cakes a bit dry.

We?ve been to this cafe a few times now and we will keep going back. Their full English is great value and they serve it until mid after afternoon which is prefect as we are late risers! They also do sandwiches, toasted sandwiches and jacket potatoes. A great simple menu for families with kids! As other reviewers say the place is ?traditional? in decor but rather than that be a negative, I really enjoy it being different to every single bougie/trendy cafe. It gives it a point of difference. If you want something ?contemporary? go to Cafe no5. If you fancy a good old fry up, traditional sandwich or some homemade cake then this is the place for you. The owners have owned the premises for decades and have some great stories if you care to ask. They are local and friendly, having banter with all their regulars and you can hear them joking with each other other the back (they are family). My only request would be a bit of radio/light music in the background, but that?s just my preference and probably not helpful for the many older regulars who frequent here. Don?t judge this book by everyone else?s cover.
