We have been of times and we're very happy with the food staff and service but last night we went for my friend's 70th birthday after I recommend it but last ight the girls were fine meals were just edible and the lad behind the bar was so miserable and rude .the lads waiting on were also walking round with miserable faces. I'm afraid I won't be going there again untill there is a change. Shame realy as I always recommend the pub and used it to take my visitors and I will think about going there again

8 of us went for a Christmas meal, and it was completely inedible. We were served reheated food that tasted incredibly weird, the vegetables were mush and the meat tasted off. I couldn?t eat it at all, and everyone else with us struggled to as well. It was that bad that it gave half of us upset stomachs and we spent the rest of the day trying not to vomit, everyone washed their mouth out with mouthwash when they got home.

Usual busy 'Spoons' but you know what you're going to get. Cheap prices. Unfortunately the table ordering app wasn't working so had to order at the bar. Staff are on the case and service is good, even when busy.

Food not very appetising. The place is warm & friendly, whilst the food, after being sent back once for being served cold, on being replaced, the best you could say is lukewarm? & bland. Why is it some chefs can?t understand their primary job is to deliver your food hot?? ??

Greatly improved over recent weeks. Generous portions cooked well. We used to travel to Cannock as food was better there but there has been a total turnaround over the last month. Well done Hedgeford Lodge ?

My friend and I had pasta Alfredo with chicken. We both had to send it back as it was cold. The server said that they would remake it for us. We watched them put it under the heat lamp. We then had to wait another 25 minutes before we collared someone to ask where our dinners were. They then brought the same dinners out that had been transferred to a new dish. We could tell it was the same dish as there was wilted rocket throughout and the chicken was mixed in with the pasta and sauce. It was also chewy, overcooked and even some parts were burnt and inedible. The pasta was like mush!!! We ate some as we were hungry but it was spoiled food. Re-warming chicken under a heatlamp is unacceptable!!! I'd had this a few nights ago and had been telling my friend how nice it was. That's why we went there! Huge mistake! Very disappointed ?
