Unfortunately I did not have the best experience here at boots hednesford.
At first yes all was well and good went in to have my eyes tested. Went to pick my frames for my glasses specifically said I wanted some cheap due to my job. Lady showed me a range of £50 frames. I picked a pair I would normally go for. I paid £130. Thinking this is a bit strap but didn?t question the price. Thought I?d have to pay for my lenses separately.
Then when I went to collect my glasses the wrong frame was issued to me. In fact the employee actually charged me £100 for a frame I didn?t even want or even choose, nor did I even try on because the shape was not me. Then I got accused by the manager of lying!! This is where I draw the line. Why would I pick and pay for a frame I would never wear and never picked. When I explained to the manager she then said ?well the frame you picked ? I then stopped her and said no I did not pick that frame. She offered me £50 off or to pick another £100 frame. I couldn?t pick and went back on Saturday. Where I just asked for a full refund because I?d had enough. The manager then again accused me of lying and said ? well can?t offer you a full refund because you picked the frame? I did then become very upset and repeatedly told her I did not pick the frame. I explained in the shop I didn?t want to pay a lot due to my job and I also asked my partner what frame I usually have.
After some back and forth the manager gave me a full refund and said they would never dispatch for me again. Well thats all well and good because I do not like being called a liar when I know what frames I like and what frames I don?t like and what frames I would generally pick for my face.
Not a very good experience at all.

Have now taken two of my children here for eye tests. Upon arrival staff are very friendly. Jas(optician) is lovely and very caring and explained everything to the children. Great choice of glasses. Very highly recommend and will now use these as our family opticians.

Best opticians around, staff very helpfull. Been going since childhood. Recently decided to try specsavers as they do 2 for 1 so i got 2 pairs varifocals for less than 1 pair at boots had them since january had to change them a few times still do not feel right. My first varifocals were from boots fitted perfect adapted from pick up never had to go back amazing. I will be back at boots again atleast i now no who are best for me.

Superb service yesterday for my wife at Boots optician . Having sudden developed visual disrturbance. Staff member took my wifes details and realised this was serious. sent her to have emergency triarge at another practice. Quickly diagnosed as significant problem. Thank you for you kind and caring approach.
