Great food and atmosphere, brilliant use of outdoor space having a lot of open cover feeling spacious but allows you to sit outside no matter the weather.

waited so long to order food and drinks, the food was ok but not much choice, didn't want to wait for the dessert menu though really wanted to try jam doughnut french toast or something like that

Just had buffalo/blue cheese and salt & pepper wings, with a side of frickles, as a take out order... some of the best wings we've has in this country

It's a nice old pub we went in on a Thursday, early evening had a drink and the drinks are very expensive so won't be going very often. Wasn't many people around mainly members of staff.
So you could hear a pin drop.

Update to 3 1/2 years ago and first time been allowed in since the refurb. Turned up twice in the past to be turned away by door man when a 'Word of mouth' event on.
Glad to see part of the car park now under cover, bricked off and used for live events.
4 real ales on from Joules Brewery well kept but dont inspire. Especially when its dearer here than elsewhere and get a plastic flexi glass.

A friendly pub, worth a visit if you want a cheeky one & grub (food)... My only complaint was the cost of the Peroni Alcohol Free, £4.80 per bottle... The phase (literally)

Went on "wing Wednesday", best chicken wings I have had. Nice pint of Joules ale. Very nice young lady at the bar.
