Gemma is amazing, she always knows exactly what shades, styles, colours suit each client. I go in pretty clueless & just tell her to do what she thinks will look good, I?m never disappointed. She has so much knowledge after years in the industry especially about skin care & aesthetic treatments. The salon is lovely & you?re always guaranteed a good laugh as she?s super friendly & funny. Anyone would be put at ease by Gemma she?s just fab!

I went to Gemma at Akila once about 7 years ago because my usual nail lady was full and ive been going ever since. Not just for nails but for all my beauty needs. Shes very knowledgeable, professional and also a good giggle. She will make you feel welcome and truly well pampered. I recently went and had combination semi-perm brows done for the first time and Gemma made sure she explained every step and tailored the look and process exactly to my needs/wants. I had my nails done in Gemmas very lovely salon. I was so pleased with my nails. Gemma took her time, it wasn?t rushed and the end result is fabulous. Amazing service, professional and Gemma is great company ? I now use Akila Beauty regularly to get my nails done and will be booking in to get my eye brow tinted.

Losing your hair isn?t easy and products that attempt to help you keep it a little longer are both expensive and have little success, having accepted losing my hair I became aware of Scalp Micro-pigmentation (SMP), often referred to as head tattooing?having had a few tattoos I can tell you it?s very different from a tattoo!Having confidence in your artist is so important as you entrust your head to them, meeting Gemma it was really clear she had invested heavily in learning and understanding the process and had undergone an intensive course to be accredited to carry out the work, she was really easy to talk to and was keen to gather my thoughts and views prior to picking up the needle.I went through a thorough process of scalp measuring, plotting and mocking to see if the results would be what I wanted, I could only hope that it came out that good!I sat for two session approximately 2 hours each and about two weeks apart, Gemma was amazing throughout client comfort was 100% at the forefront of the process.It?s not pain free but it isn?t painful, as the session developed it?s clear that some parts of the scalp are more tender than others (just like any tattoo experience) but Gemma was aware of this and was able to work accordingly, pain was a 2/10.After session one I was blown away with the results! So after the second session I was in awe! I am so pleased with the whole process and not just the results, I?ve had comments such as, ?that looks amazing? to ?have you had a hair transplant?? Yes that one made me smile!I would highly recommend SMP and for Gemma to do it, she was brilliant!I?m booked in for my return check up after three months as Gemma is so committed and dedicated to getting it right and ensuring her clients are happy.Thanks Gemma really has been transformative!Service: Microblading

Gemma is amazing!She actually listened,unlike some other places where I felt like one in and one out.she listened to what I hated about my skin and my daily routine skincare.I had skin boosters after she explained the benefits and I haven?t been disappointed with the results I?ve had no end of compliments on my skin and everyone saying it?s ?glowing?With it being a needle I was a bit uneasy but she took her time and made sure I was ok all the way through I can?t fault her plus I could hardly feel a thing.Since then Gemma?s done my fat dissolve I can?t wait for the results ?Can?t wait for my next appointmentThank you you?ve got a customer for lifeServices: Tanning
