Never many staff at checkouts. Sometimes just one at self-serve trying to do kiosk , self serve and checkouts. Stood for while waiting for age verification. Not the staffs fault. Management.

Vile staff! One old lady was disgusting in how she speaks to people and all the other members just ignored it and don?t say a word. God only know why she still has a job there. No customer service at all.

Had everything we needed, it's Asda price
February 2024 by Neil Scholes
It is small and compact so not a lot of choice compared to a bigger Asda but some of the price matched items were a bargain! No issues while we were there straight on self check out and left.

Update: would NOT go here again...
My partner (21F) was in severe pain from her period and fibromyalgia and went in to buy paracetamol but they refused to sell it to her as she didn't believe she was over 16. She was in floods of tears but i guess i can understand it. Trouble is though they went on to say i couldn't go in on her behalf as they'd refuse to sell to me (22M) as well, even if i had my ID (which i did - My drivers license). Can understand not selling to my partner maybe but then refusing to sell me medication as well if i came in? You can buy paracetamol on behalf of an under 16 if your over 16 anyway. Just went to Morrisons and bought it from there instead as my partner was desperate for the pain relief tablets (as in in floods of tears). Shame as it's yet another Asda we've been treated poorly by...

Closed the doors at 21:53 when supposed to close at 22:00.Id rushed over too along with 3 other prospective shoppers also turned away.If you say you're open til 10 you should be open til 10. If you need to be cashed up by 10pm then put 21:45 as your close!Sounds like staff giving themselves an easier life?

Had misfortune of calling into this shop today to get a few things ,lady on the till was chatting to the customer infront of me without scanning at the same time may I add, they chatted for a good 3 or 4 mins while I stood waiting actually starting to think it was a joke wind up ,had to eventually be quite sharp and ask if they realised I was waiting and it's not a social meeting for those two. Met by dirty looks and although she started to scan the woman's goods they continued chatting loudly and rudely. This is terrible behaviour and needs addressing by management. Asda teach your staff customer service please,I will not be back and suggest other people shop elsewhere. Dreadful behaviour and place. They act more like they're there to socialise than work. They actually make customers feel unwelcome or unwanted.

Today (5th September at 9am) was the first day of school and I came to pick things for my children's lunch and I was already getting late. I was at cash out and scanning my things and I told my 8 year old son to go get a shopping bag as there weren't any around and the lady worker (we don't know her name) kept on walking and had bags with her and my son kept on walking behind her to get attention but she wasn't listening and then I had to call her to five me a bag after I needed another one I asked my son again and he went and asked her and she rudely said say please first with disgust on her face and everyone around heard and when my son said please then she gave him a bag...she should at least treat the customers with care and polite, they are kids sometimes they forget to say please it doesn't mean you don't give the bag and look rude.. she was very racist and rude lady that even my son felt it and he was about to cry. The manager should at least put the bags out so customers can easily take them without having to faceEmployees who don't know how to treat kids.
