I am a fan have bought several items from here good customer service, the only downside is they delivery charges i don't agree with, but saying that I will buy again and probably have to pay the delivery charges

I bought a sofa from DFS back in November. It was a large corner and a cuddle chair. Later our house sale fell through and Ian and the team were so helpful with supporting us to change our sofa to one that would fit in our new house and held the sofa for as long as they could. Low and behold in April our second house also fell through, we needed to modify our order again. Ian was absolutely excellent, he spoke to a manager to ensure we wouldn't face further cancellation charges and gave us the care kit for half price. They were completely sympathetic to our situation and it was lovely to see such a large company that seems to care about their customer. 100% recommend

Came in over the weekend with my family to buy a sofa. Got greeted with the faintest of hellos from 1 employee who was joined by roughly 4 of his other employees, where they normally stand (middle of the showroom chatting). We walked the whole showroom and found 2 sofas we wanted and spent lots of time measuring up and discussing the options. Meanwhile, the staff were continuing to congregate in the middle of the showroom chatting, offering nothing more than a faint hello to prospective customers as they enter.
After 10+ minutes of dealing with the kids and nobody coming over to assist or progress our interest into a sale. We left, for the second time (we had visited months prior and had the same result).
We then went to your competitor and were greeted (kids too), offered information, discussed styles and offered coffee. (Kids offered drinks also) Then we were assisted in finding a sofa that fit what were looking for....signed, sealed and to be delivered soon. We paid double what we had expected to and are very happy with it.
Whilst I don't want to be hounded when I walk in a shop, I do expect to be treated as a customer and not someone who's come to look at sofas and leave. Sales team....sell your products!

Ordered our sofa from DFS Cannock on the 3rd March, advised by sales person lead time was 8-9 weeks. Kept a check on the online tracking and all the way along it said the sofa was due into the distribution centre 28th April. 27th April arrived and the date changed to 5th May.
Spoke to customer services who advised they were sorry, but delays can happen and it would be 5th May. 3 days ago, the date changed again and now states 13th May. We called up to complain and request they cancel the order as we are without almost £2000 and a sofa. They advised the sofa has been custom made therefore they cant cancel the order! After speaking to store and them making some enquiries it turns out, the sofa hasnt even been made yet!! It was supposed to be delivered a week ago!! We asked them to cancel the order and all they keep advising is they cant because its a custom made sofa? the sofa isnt even on the production line yet!
They are refusing point blank to cancel the order and have offered us an £80 (gogw) refund. Thinking they were doing us a favour as apparently they only usually offer £40. What an insult. All complaints to store are done over email also, so it takes an age to get anywhere! We have been into store where we got promised the earth and the manager couldnt do enough, but the minute we left and the emails started again, the service dropped instantly and they are no longer bothered.
As it stands the sofa is ?due into the distribution centre? 13th may, but again this is subject to change.
The worst part is? according to their website, the estimated delivery time frame on this sofa is 6 weeks! It has been 10 weeks and our sofa hasn?t even produced yet, yet alone delivered!
I wouldn?t recommend this company at all. Brilliant sales service, the absolute WORST after sales customer service I?ve possibly experienced.
Still ongoing, but wanted to make people aware to take their business elsewhere!!!

So disappointing, two sofas in 3 years , first one lasted 6 months before collapsing , second one 3 years before leather peeled and cushions sagged , looks 10 years old. At £4K would have expected far better and DFS not interested as just out of warranty . Never ever will we purchase from DFS again? Shame , used to be our go to place .
