This hotel is not great. Rooms smelled and had bugs on the window seal. We asked the receptionist WHICH WAS very nice and she let us look at 7 different rooms which looked better than the room we had. It?s a bit hard to get there if you?re on the northbound carriageway and the hotels look alike except the northbound hotel only has one floor. You must also be aware of your surroundings because the hotel sign is hiding behind the bushes so drive slow and look to the left. Also you cannot use your mobile data as you are in the middle of nowhere and but we still managed to make it work. The WiFi works for 30 minutes for free though.

By no means a 5 star experience, but you get what you pay for. Rooms were basic. Had some issues with shower. But being a child of the 70's i figured out if you ran the hot tap in sink then the shower worked. Location is dreadful, its on a dual carriageway, perfect for crashing the night after a long drive, but not so much for a stay after work when all you want is a pint and some food. You can walk to local places, but it involves a midly terrifying walk down a busy road. I opted for a cab, which you would think would be easy, alas no. The drivers struggled to find the place. There was no onsite breakfast served so that makes it even more of a challenge. I would not plan to stay there again, infact i would try to avoid any roadside hotel ever again. Maybe i have been spoiled by premier inn. At at least they offer food on site. I dont want to be mean and slate the place as it does have parking for large vehicles and the staff were friendly. Just as long as you temper down your expectations and are aware you are booking a basic place. Only book if sleep is all you need.

Great Travelodge. Bit tricky to get to if you're on the Northbound carriageway, you'll have a 4 mile drive passed it to get back in the Southbound carriageway. Receptionist was friendly, the rooms were good and very clean too.

Great staff, let down by stained bedsheets and dirty coffee mugs. Road out of hotel is full of potholes.
Rooms: Stained bedsheets, dirty cups. Room warmed up quickly. Shower/bath dangerously slippery.
Food and drinks: Nothing ..just the tea/coffee provided
Noteworthy details: Rather a tired travelodge but reception staff were great.

I normally do not like complaining but after spending 3 nights that i couldnt wait to end i feel like this is the only way of letting go of what im feeling inside. It was a rough start with the room keys not being found upon checking in and having to wait for a while at the reception, the receptionist did their best to address the situation swiftly.
This got to be my worst Travelodge experience. I couldn't even sleep properly the passageway door kept on banging atill as late as midnight , 1am ( thought fire doors dont get banged as they have their special shutting mechanism , guess l was wrong) every other minute despite putting a DO NOT DISTURB sign it still never worked. Asked one of the staff and they seem to be quite aware that it is the passageway door that makes so much noise and yet guests are placed in that room(Room 40 to be precise).
Also had to wake up early morning to staff laughing and talking out loud just outside my room with doors banging as well as the trains that make so much noise nearby.
Rooms are dusty and I have allergies, woke up to blocked nose for the duration of my stay despite sleeping with the windows open.
