WE both had jacket potatoes with cheese. Hard bottoms almost too hard to cut through...impossible in places. I guess they had been kept warm for a long time...really not worth the money. Pleasant staff. Don't think we'll be going again.....

Despite my objections my Wife did a click & collect on a food order for Christmas. What an absolute balls up of a system M&S have in place! After driving around Burton on Trent in circles for half an hour trying to find the collection point which M&S didn?t bother to tell us is on New St we eventually got there. The rear delivery doors were open and because there was a huge sign saying COLLECT BY CAR COLLECTION POINT I parked up and walked in. Went to the Desk to be served by 3 absolutely clueless Ladies. Firstly the order was in plastic Trays, not Bags. £172 of food and it?s not bagged up. Thinking ahead I?d put some in the Car so went to get them only to be confronted by a closed Door with a sign saying Employees only. Well I had to get out somehow so I opened it and went out, got the Bags and on my return got a mouthful of grief from a young Lady because it?s an Employee only door. Well there?s a sign there Sweetheart that says COLLECTION POINT so jog on. Eventually got the Order and queried the palaver over the Door? Apparently you are supposed to park at the rear of the Shop, walk all the way around to the main entrance and go in that way (and back with your order I suppose?) How the bloody hell was I supposed to know this? There was nothing on the Confirmation Email my Wife had, there is nothing outside the rear entrance to say Collections this way->. If I?d wanted to P around in the Shop I?d have gone to the Shop in the first place. Needless to say I went back out the way I came in! M&S Click & Collect? Never again!! I?ll risk the Crowds in Aldi next year and probably save a packet too!!

Whatever happened to this once amazing customer service abd quality products. I brought waterproof pink jacket 18months ago cash from my birthday.I washed it as it said on label. When it came out of wash the inside was clumped and mis shaped.I returned it today was told as a gesture of good will they would give me £16.99 not the £55 I had originally paid. I was told I could actually go through every area area and re shaped the material. Not very good for someone with arthritis and little time.What gas happened to this store - you pay for quality I was told it happens all the time so why no warning. Very sad that customer and service seems to be far from top of the list at M&S.Disgraceful and trying to make me feel like the guilty one.I asked to exchange but then was told I would have to make up the difference. I've already paid for it once, so why would I want to do that?Sad times and your staff aren't as helpful as they used to be.You don't deserve customers.I won't be returning to your store again our partnership of many years is over.

Second time of purchasing cakes from yourselves today, and again stale pastries?will not be purchasing again, first time was two muffins with cream and jam, second time was two pan raisin and two pastry swirls (these were awful) all went in the bin. Very poor!

First customer in the cafe this morning (31st August 9.05am) had a latte which was far too strong (for latte) and tasted horrible. Maybe first out of the machine?. Also 3 tables had crumbs on and many tables had coffee cup ring marks on. Obviously not cleaned before home time the night before or cleaned first thing on arrival.

Just like to say a big thank you to Dawn one of the managers for all her help on Wednesday 1st Feb when I had a episode with my neck she is such a lovely lady and excellent with People skills even though I was in pain she still made me smile sadly we had a long wait for the ambulance but dawn and Carl the security man were both lovely so from the bottom of my hear thank you as now a days so many people ready to call staff and moan but never enough praise thank you Kaye shelley See you at skiing dawn don?t forget the tins of salmon ham cheese and crisps xx

on 18th March at my local M&S (Burton on Trent) a duvet was ordered and paid for using their contactless machine. The next day I receive an email stating the order was cancelled as they could not locate the payment details in their system. It was not a case of insufficient fund.To clarify the payment ££39.50 was debited from my bank card. on 21st March. Since then I have been unable to secure a refund. The customer services say I need to return to the store with proof the payment had been taken, which I have done today. Not ideal in view of the fact someone has to take me to town. I was kept waiting downstairs as the lady on the till did not now what to do. Her 3 calls to get a manager were unsccessful. I was informed to go upstairs to their click & collect desk. This was not an easy task as the lift was not working - again! It was obvious the two staff at the till were more interested in their chat; one said she was a manager. What I did not expect was being told different information to what customer services had told me. A refund was rejected despite proving the payment had been taken by showing the debit on my bank account. To be absolutely clear the store took the paymet. I asked for a chair, but was accused of being rude. It would appear when M&S fail their customer, take money and will not give it back. Insist I go upstairs with no lift (I am disabled) their get out of the situation is to dictate to the customer. This type of bullying may be evident in a corporate setting, but it clearly not in a retail setting. I walked away as best I could with my escort. On leaving she was on her phone discussing me! I do not take kindly to being treated with such contempt by anyone. Having been informed on the phone this morning by customer services a manager will telephone in 10 minute, 30 minutes later I am still waitin. The upshot is I have irrefutable proof they have taken my money and now they will not give it back. There is a slight clue to the job title for customer service!

Not even worth the one star. I will be telling everyone how disgusting your customer service is. Had an item brought for my little girl for a christmas present so I had no tags and no receipt. The pyjamas were unfit for purpose. The cuffs in the bottoms was too tight and I could not get my little girls foot in them. They would not even give me an exchange from the sale price without a proof of purchase even though online it says my statutory rights I am entitled to a refund or exchange If the item purchased is not of a satisfactory quality or fit for purpose. One minute I could have a refund next the computer wouldn?t proceed. Laughing as I walked away!! Do you like to be little your customers? I asked to speak to the manger a second time and she didn?t come back over I asked what she said and the employee Isabelle said she said to just take it back to the shop you brought it from. Wow I am appauled. So rude!! Do not shop at M&S

Purchased Pacifico lager for £1.50 a bottle thought this should be good for boxing day buffet, how wrong could I be . If you drank carling then had a wee next morning that would be a better drink. Yuk

The title says it all. Made a visit to look for a coat. Security guard watching me, making comments as I tried coats on. I saw/heard him do the same to another lady. When I went upstairs to look for perfume - there he was again. I purchased the perfume and made a comment to the cashier that his behaviour was somewhat creepy to a lone woman. They agreed and said I was not the first person to make this comment. I couldn't get out of the shop quick enough. I avoid this M&S now.

I love they?re clothes - they?re grocery area is sort of dull and over priced -HOWEVER go upstairs to have a slice of cake or they?re soup and bread- 100% a great experience! Allow time because they?re slow however and snag a seat quickly! It?s my favorite afternoon lunch spot!
