“We've started using Sainsbury's for our main shop recently. The aisles are quite wide and uncluttered. (Take note Morrisons...). The quality of the products is good especially the fresh meat. The staff are amiable and friendly which all adds up to a relaxing shopping experience.”

“One of the best shops in Burton, lots of items to choose from. Some items can be a little expensive but others are discounted so it's a mixed bag price wise, the items are good quality.”

“Well stocked store but badly understaffed, only 1 checkout open and it was very busy, the poor man manning the checkout was doing his very best, but people were eaiting far to long to pay for their shopping, needs more staff.”

“What a refreshing change! Greeted by a female member of staff as I entered the store, a genuine one too not just going through the motions.
Also, just one persons being served in front of me and another till was opened just for me….. that’s great customer service, if only everywhere was like this store! Top marks. Thank you.”

“I went into the store and though, got damn, it could be bigger with a larger selection, the floor was coming up and needs fixing but overall customer service was excellent, the bearded man called Jordan in perticular was very nice and asked me how my day was multiple times, he then asked if I needed help to the car which was most welcome, I will defiantly be going back.”

“A good-sized store with lots of produce. There is a self-serve till as well, so you don't have to queue up to be served. There is good parking available, which is always nice.”

“Stopped in here to grab some lunch whilst at work, decent selection for the meal deal option. I didn't realize they had a Reese's pieces milkshake machine, and also a Hershey's machine, aswell as another milkshake machine with the typical strawberry, chocolate, vanilla flavours. I will definitely be stopping by again to try these. Decent size shop. Very handy for people who live nearby.”

“Flying visit looking for a discontinued Oslo stoneware plate, ? unfortunately they did not have any, our search continues every time we run past a Morrisons we have not been to before ?”

“They are not the smartest looking stores, but they do all the top brands at great prices, and the staff in the two stores I've shopped in are really friendly and helpful”

“Yet again a poor customer service. I have already brought this to your attention. I went in tonight 7.7.24 and had a large shop in a trolley. There was no help packing just items thrown piled up-i pointed out that usually I get help and started packing and unloading with a que of customers. The staff member started to pack if you can call it that. Everything just thrown in heavy onto of delicate. I asked what she was doing and I Would do it myself. Items falling out of bag a right mess. I asked if she had had training in packing she responded no- perhaps chewing gum is the impression you want but yet again the same member of staff as last time. I will take my trade elsewhere once I can accept but twice noway. As I spend on average 100 plus a week I am glad you can afford to lose my custom.”

“A plethora of excellent produce at cheap prices, and friendly, patient, helpful staff who offer to help with packing bags if - like me - you have mobility issues. The only minor downside is that the three aisles aren't especially wide, so expect to have to get a bit too close to other customers in order to navigate the store. Other than that, a lovely shopping experience in a very useful village shop.”

Popped into Lidl Burton (Derby Street) today – sadly no lemons, so no lemonade for me ??

BUT… was served by the friendliest Muslim lady ever – genuinely made my day with her warmth and smile. Also bumped into a mate who works there – doesn’t say much normally, but today he looked proper happy. That was nice to see ?

And in all seriousness, I truly advocate Lidl. Great choice, fair pricing, love the randomness on the shelves (seriously, Farofa? IYKYK ???). Feels like a global street market sometimes and I’m here for it.

? Personally, I’d be happy if you got rid of the depressing self-checkouts though. Human interaction > machines any day.

“Great small stock of goods and amenities which is great it also has a small in store bakery so you can pick up your small bakery needs. Lovely election free from and vegan selection some wonderful selection of fruit but it is a bit varied at times. To sum it all it it’s a Tesco express which has everything you need if you are going in for a quick top up of food items and amenities”

“Nisa Locals are great for last minute items that you need and have forgotten from your major shop. This Nisa is very close to me and the staff are always friendly.”

“VERY nice store. I love most Tesco's and this is no exception. Awesome selection of everything from fresh produce, to meats and fish, bread and baked goods, to dairy and cheese as well as a variety of home goods, papers and magazines and even phones etc. Everything here is clean and well presented, the staff friendly and the prices good. Ample parking. Also an excellent little Costa store in house, coupled with Free Internet it was a lifesaver for me at times. Finally just around the corner from BEAUTIFUL St. Peter's Bridge. Love it!!!!”

“My usual stop-off for my lunch on the way to work. Have got everything you might want, plus other stuff.Staff are helpful - this morning as I was looking through the sandwiches I was told to ask for anything I couldn't see, as they probably had it in the back (she was filling the sandwich section at the time)A mix of self-serve and staffed tills. Cash point outside. Bakery section at the back of the first aisle has some lovely bits in it (the pizza rolls are great!)”

“They always have a huge range of great quality fresh fruit and veg. The store is very well laid out. There's always great choices whether it be canned, frozen or fresh produce. The staff are always friendly and happy to help.”
