Took my parents around Tutbury then finished off with a meal at this lovely pub. Second time for me and both experiences were exceptional. We were served by Beth & Mark who were both very professional, polite and very welcoming. I would definitely recommend. I feel very welcome and the staff are very friendly.

The staff, Beth and Mandy were friendly and attentive. Good choice of both vegetarian and non vegetarian food. The food was delicious, beautifully cooked and well presented. Extremely good value for money. Good range of ales. We will definitely be visiting again. Highly recomended

Food is good here and the service friendly. A good range of dishes on the menu and there are specials too. We usually find they?ve run out of something when we visit - usually the thing you want most on the menu!

I would like to thank Curtis and Lucy for providing excellent service when we had a meal on Monday Evening.
Myself and a family member from Anglesey had a 3 course meal which was excellent from start to finish.
The staff were excellent and very supported of John who is partially sited. Thanks guys.
I will certainly be booking again and recommending to family and friends.

WORST SUNDAY ROAST I'VE EVER HAD!!
Decided to treat the family to a nice pub meal out for my mums birthday and it turned out to be a complete waste of money. We don't eat out very often and this place has put us off doing so in the future.
Alarm bells should've rang as soon as we walked in on a Sunday afternoon and there was only 2 groups of people dining in the entire restaurant
All 4 of us ordered a roast dinner, the food came out within 10 minutes which seemed almost too quick. Everything was piping hot including the meat, the roast potatoes were very dry the veg was watery. It was evident that we'd all paid for a microwaved meal. The gravy was like water, the Yorkshire puddings looked clearly frozen and the turkey wasn't even a proper roast turkey, it was reformed meat! The menu also advertised that the meal would come with roasted root veg but it didn't. The menu stated that the roast beef would be served pink but came out very well done. The garlic and rosemary on the roast potatoes was non existent.
I deeply regret not making a formal complaint whilst in the restaurant but didn't want to cause a scene as a few other diners had been seated next to us during the course of the meal. £80 wasted on terrible food!
I am shocked that this place has 4.2/5 rating because the food was absolutely awful. I am bitterly disappointed and certainly won't be returning or recommending.

Very friendly staff, and helpful. Food is ok, not the best, wonder if it's because it's part of a chain. Little outside area, it's on the way into the pub and people can smoke here. Plenty of car parking space around the back of the pub.

Beth and Ella were very accommodating with getting us a table in the restaurant when we didn't have a reservation. The food was fantastic also. We would definitely come back

Good Food. Nice place for food or drinks. Delicious and nicely served. Easy to order on the app as the staff are often too busy. Good value.

The dog and partridge is local to us we often pop in for a couple of beers and lunch it is a great pub with a lovely atmosphere and the staff are friendly and very helpful Lucy and Beth served us today both were as always very friendly and welcoming I highly recommend visiting the pub for a meal or drinks.

I come here with my dog (Burt) and we both really love the relaxed friendly village atmosphere. The staff are amazing ? friendly, helpful, and make you feel really welcome. Easily my favourite local!
