I'm amazed that this pharmacy gets a rating as 'High' as 2.8 stars!I went there a couple of weeks ago feeling a little anxious because of the aggressive and hostile attitude that was the norm during Covid.The shop was being refurbished but there was still a counter. I was immediately hustled out. No sign about waiting at the door just one saying 'We won't serve anyone with a dog that went on to say what a great customer service they provide!! Awful place!Not the first time I've experienced this sort of thing here. If there was any choice I wouldn't go anywhere near this establishment!

The extremely rude female pharmacist refused to let me buy a medication that I had bought before from them on their advice, apparently not licensed? Sold in error last time? It has previously been prescribed both by my wife?s GP and Consultant Ophthalmologist. So my disabled wife is still suffering, care in the community I don?t think so! Obviously from other reviewers this isn?t a one off incident! Very disappointing when you try to support local businesses

I needed to book my son's booster jab. He has additional needs and autism he gets freaked out and struggles in settings he's not familiar with. We had already attempted a booster elsewhere unsuccessfully. I managed to book in in with the Horninglow site and had an email the day before from Ben Eaton who carries out the vaccines. I let him know Connor's difficulties and he replied back totally empathetic and reassuring putting me at ease. When we arrived for the vaccine Ben and the team were amazing, reassuring Connor talking to him directly and keeping him calm. After distraction from a lovely lady in the team, Connor let Ben administer the vaccine. He had 2 stickers in reward for being brave. If anyone else was feeling nervous or if you have a child with additional needs who struggles, I would thoroughly recommend the vaccine here with Ben. A huge thanks, little things really do matter and his gestures made a difference.

Needed to buy 75mg Aspirin, Aspirin was prescribed by my doctor and not wanting to pay prescription costs, I buy my aspirin over the counter, I have done this in many chemists without any problems. The woman in the shop informed me that it was against the licence to sell me aspirin without a prescription. I left and went to a different pharmacy (not D&S), they gave me the usual advice regarding Aspirin and then sold me the Aspirin. I have worked in the Pharma industry for nearly 30yrs, I know Aspirin is not a POM medicine and can be sold over the counter by a qualified pharmacist or under supervision of a qualified pharmacist. Perhaps more training is required in this shop. I will not use this pharmacy again, I will go to pharmacy that know their trade.
