Why isn?t the security man by a monitor downstairs and another two security people on the shop floor? One at the bottom of the escalator and car park, another by the bakery part and the head guard by a monitor? What is the point of having a monitor upstairs to tell a man downstairs? By this time a thief has gone! Or, if the main man is checking a bag it could br a deliberate decoy for several thieves to scarper out of the store! What a ridiculous, outdated system!

Apparently, Keele students (and other overseas visitors) popping into the store before going to Biddulph Grange have the ?large bag checking service? from the security guard. Some have found it funny and apparently ?different? from their own country (some not) which could be why he does it all the more. People who look like students or Grange visitors are targetted with insufficient evidence.

Please sack the security man!
He picks on decent people with larger bags who are just trying to find their purse in it. All the time, the alarms go off left, right and centrw while he is messing about and winding people up with talk of the police. What a bully who is not very good at his job.
Other supermarkets have screens for their security staff to monitor. This man listens to staff who make up rubbish about customets (complaints have been made about these staff members usually anyway).
We tecommend shopping online or going elsewhere. Security training is diabolical.

I don?t use Sainsbury?s anymore when there are cheaper options like Aldi and Lidl. Went in this one for a few odd bits and even that turned out pricey. A few bottles of water cost a fiver. I wasn?t buying for myself, I?m not one to buy bottled water. Most of my meat, I get from else where so I can?t really judge them too much on meat. I never really go here unless somebody else drags me in.

Honestly this store has gone seriously downhill. There's little choice. The deli counter has gone, the café closed down and now the bakery. They've also recently reorganised the store and quite a few of the normal items I used to buy have gone. All this has pushed me to a different store which has more choice.
