Awful hotel, soundproofing non existent. We could hear guests above us at 5am getting ready for their day, including a drip drop from the shower ( they weren?t exceedingly noisy) told receptionist at 9am, she said we should have come to reception at 5am and she would have told them to be quiet! They?re entitled to move around their room! They weren?t banging around, just ordinary moving. If she?d have told me to be quiet I definitely would have told her where to go! I have messaged a complaint, but no response so far. The restaurant was shut, which we knew, and the workmen weren?t working at the time, but the promised pastries weren?t there.

Mucky, table covered in ketchup (other tables covered in glasses), barman was great - good customer service, our "sharer nachos" had 12 nachos, a dollop of sour cream, 2 slices of a chilli and a smidge of nacho cheese. Paid an extra £2+ for chilli beef on top. We got a dollop of beef gravy. Daughters meal was missing a corn on the cob. Shame, used to be great!

Nice place, big room, food very good. Need facilities in the rooms to air towels I.e. towel rails would be useful.

Usual Premier Inn experience, easy booking on line, excellent room, bed & desk staff, good parking. Food next door at restaurant is mediocre at best. £10/adult for buffet breakfast is no longer good value. Eat elsewhere if you can.

Booked here for two nights as attending a near by event hotel was easy to find and located on in industrial estate , staff member was super friendly on check in couldn?t of asked for any better explaining the times for food in the restaurant and breakfast times ? rooms have had a recent partial make over so feel modern enough ? this hotel doesn?t have A/C so there was a fan provided in the room for use as I found the factory outside too noisy for my taste, overall Great premier innRooms: Recently partly refurbished,

Not much sleep first night cars peeping their horns at 5 in the morning. Second night pipes rackling when another room used facilities l. Beds very small We were over to meet some friends as our son had past away but we came home more tired then we arrived.

We stayed four nights and on the last night I went for a takeaway for myself as my husband didn?t feel 100% the young lady took my order, told me they would bring it to our room, they were so kind and considerate as had all the staff been the whole time. The place was spotless. Highly recommend.

This experience was just as good as our last. It didn't disappoint. Check-in and service from reception was fantastic, we asked for an extra fan, which wasn't a problem. Rooms clean, comfortable, and has everything needed for a short stay.

It's my David Oliver that is here and he's told me reception staff have been brilliant always been helpful couldn't do enough for him he can't thank them enough for what they've done for him and his kids the food is perfect and plenty of items on the menu to order from plenty of parking and it's safe parkingRooms: The rooms are very clean and plenty of roomNearby activities: It's not far from cortonwood retail parkSafety: Very secure area and quite only issue I have is it's close to factories but nothing these can doWalkability: It's about 10 minutes walk to get to cortonwood and broomhill flashFood & drinks: The food is perfect and not too expensive and it comes out quick after ordering the staff in the bar are really niceNoteworthy details: Just remember to enter your reg when you enter and book a table just incase they are busy

Went here for an unplanned lunch. Parking was OK but parking regs in place meaning car reg details need to be entered into a computer in the bar. Taken to a table but no-one explained we needed to order from the bar (no waitress to take the order) so wasted half an hour finding that out the hard way. Toilets were smelly and not wonderful. Service (food and drinks) was slow. Food came burning hot inside but not brilliantly cooked outside (pies with soggy bottoms but red hot filling etc). Bar and tables were sticky. Not the best experience. Won't be visiting again.

The hotel was so clean, the staff were so helpful and friendly it made us feel so welcomed. the bathroom was also really clean (which i dont see a lot in many hotels) me and my partner had a lovely experience

Stayed here for 2 nights visiting family that live in Barnsley. All staff members were very helpful That we came into contact with and the lady that checked us in think her name was Becky was really Helpful and informative. I asked where the nearest post box was as forgot to post an urgent letter and needed posting that day, Becky got up on Google Maps (I?m Not very good with technology) and showed me how to put directions on walking and was only 10 minute walk away. Would definitely stay in this hotel Again when visiting family. Bedroom was nice and clean and plenty of room to move around in for the 2 of us and bed was nice and comfy. This hotel is a great place to stay.

After reading a number of reviews we decided to give this Premier Inn a go, we needed somewhere near Barnsley as we were visiting friends. We were apprehensive of booking as there was a number of reviews of noise, but slept all night and didn't here a thing , I do suppose this maybe down to where you are in the hotel. Rooms are up to the usual Premier Inn standard like many of the others we have stayed at over the years clean and comfortable and of a good size for the 2 of us . Staff are really helpful both reception and the cleaning ladies, nothing was too much trouble.
