This is our first time back here for a year or so.The service was good as it has always been, but the food, I?m afraid to say was well below par. I had the beef, which was tough and quite tasteless. The vegetables were the same as they have been since the restaurant has opened.I don?t think we will be back for a long time if at all.

I really like the food here.
The meat dishes are just always so good.
Pork, lamb whatever it is it seems to be Vgood!
The pies are also Vgood.
It?s good that it?s small and intimate, just wish it was a little bigger, for table space that?s all.
The Estrella Lager is a good pint and you can bring your own wine Never taken my own, the guy who owns it has perfectly good wine and it?s all reasonably priced.
A meal for 4 people is around £140 and that?s with a starter, but only some of us having a dessert after.

We came in on a Wednesday night and couldn't believe how many people were there. The food was incredible and we will definitely be coming back. Great value for the quality of food. It really is a hidden jem in the middle of chap.

Great night at The Oak last night. The place was busy when we walked in so that was very good to see.
2 x Fillet Steaks, Sirloin, Minted Lamb Rump and Duck. No grumbles at all on any dish, we all agreed the food was superb.
Great atmosphere inside and nice and cosy. Fantastic service from polite and helpful staff.

Went for my friends birthday last night and had the best experience. Best sirloin steak I?ve ever had and all the courses were delicious. Friendly, efficient staff can?t fault it at all will be back!!! Keep doing what you?re doing!
