Overall a cracking pub with a good choice of real ales

Went on a busy Friday night and some of the customers were a bit aggressive towards the lovely staff. They handled it quite well but I fear some m punters had consumed something other than just alcohol. Beer choice was ok with a choice of cask, keg, Guinness and a few lagers. Prices were good with cask beers at £3.75 pint.

A very good busy pub with lots of atmosphere, multiple tv's for sports ie football, pool table only 50p per play, landlord & staff lovely too.
Revisited 8/2/25 pool table could do with being recovered & looking at get them self's in the pool ? league for 25/26, apart from than still a lovely pub.

Do you ever get the feeling of walking into a good old English pub and feeling immediately relaxed and welcome? Well if not then try here. Hard to say what makes a place like this just perfect but then if we knew that everyone would have it. Having excellent bar staff also helped. Watched as she personally greeted everyone coming in which is a skill in itself. In for 1 pint and stayed for 3.

Great atmosphere for the Sunday night general knowledge (a free buffet). Friendly bar staff, great for couples to have a good evening out as it's not the sort of venue for teenagers who drink alcopops whilst listening to rap etc.
