Been to the punchbowl inn in Thorne for lunch, 5 people with 3 celebrating birthdays, absolutely gutted, boy behind bar didn't have a clue, food wasn't good, no roast potatoes, Yorkshire pudding or parsnips, (can let them off for that) drinks sparce, no ice, no coffee, not even toilet paper in ladies loo! Its a nice little place. I needed to stay here for a purpose and it served that well. Would it be a place a stay for pleasure? It wasn't bad. The service was great.
