I took in a ring to be repaired. There was an issue where the ring was mistaken for another, repaired quickly and more repairs done than agreed. However, the team dealt with this quickly and efficiently and my ring was returned, fixed perfectly and with no fuss. Would definitely recommend, particularly Timpsons Stocksbridge.

I had a pair of boots re heeled and soled recently. It was a very poor,
shabby job. There was excess plastic left around the edges. It looked like an absolute amateur had done it. I was very disappointed. I will go to a proper cobblers next time.

**** service this afternoon. Walked in at 5.17pm with my lifetime watch battery replacement certificate and asked if I could have my battery replaced. I was told only if I was willing to leave it and collect it tomorrow, I asked why as I have had it done in many other timpsons and never been asked this, I?m usually in and out within 5 minutes. He said the reason is because they close in 10 minutes. I told him I?ve had it done before in less time but he said it would take him 15 minutes. So I kindly asked if he?d be able to do it as it would only be 5.32pm if it takes 15 minutes and he refused saying sorry we don?t get paid for overtime. It?s 2 minutes!!! Won?t be using this timpsons again that?s for sure.

4th time I?ve tried and 4 times I?ve been met with the sign saying had to close and be back soon. This time I went and did other things for 20 mins and went back and there was still nobody there. Asked the security guys walking around and they said there is only one person so he must have nipped out for a sandwich??long time to get a sandwich?..but that?s really not my problem anyway. If it says it?s open it should be open and maybe put on website that it closes at a certain point of the day allowing the guy to get lunch or have more than 1 person in

Went and the guy deceided to close before closing time like 10 mins before and tell me they are closed just because he wanted to go home rude and out of order..website said 5.30 u close why if i come in 5.20 your saying its closed?

Having a shoe from two different pairs, whereby they had opened at the side, I was assured he would repair them the best he could. On collection, the results were exceptional. At least they will have a few more years wear. Much appreciated.
