Poor staff management my brother visited their A&E and had to wait 9 hours just to get his infection cleaned
Would never visit it also staff is very rude

Had a bone density scan last September 2024, was told a four month wait for results Got my results today 19/8/25 nearly a year. Not acceptable ?

I have been waiting hrs and hrs and I didn?t get any help.Its the worst of all Walk-in or Go service I have been received.

I have had both bad and good experiences here unfortunately more bad than good I once came here after having a very bad panic attack (it was my first and I thought I was dying) me and my dad who was 67 at the time were there for over 12 hours before sending us off then on the second time I had another bad panic attack and unfortunately phoned an ambulance which I now regret and haven?t done since I was 15 at the time and I didn?t know any better they didn?t do any tests on me sat me in a waiting area then after feeling worse I told a random nurse there where she then had me and my dad now 68 waiting on cold thin uncomfortable metal chairs for over 8 hours before being seeing on the mental ward the receptionist there was very rude and dismissive which made me all the more worse on the third time I had an uncontrollable nose bleed that had gone on for hours and begun coming out of my eyes while in the waiting area I got talking to an elderly woman who had only come in for bloods but had been waiting for over 10 hours there was another woman who passed out and got a lecture when woken up then a woman with Leukaemia who had been there for over a full 24 hours ended up having a panic attack and begun shouting ?I can?t breathe please help me oh my god I?m going to die here? after 4 minutes not a single Dr or receptionist came to her aid until my mom stepped up and banged on doors till somebody helped even then they showed no urgency I later found out she ended up in the icu I went to the hospital yesterday after having pain on the left side of my body and heart for a prolonged amount of time which had increasingly got worse I was advised by the ambulance staff to come here as it has a cardiologist ward I was very fearful due to my previous poor experiences it took less than 20 minutes to be seen by a woman who said after having my bloods I?d only be waiting around 30 minutes for a response I had my bloods done by a very nice man I unfortunately passed out but when I woke up a very nice nurse including the man were with me and reassuring me which was very nice in comparison to my previous experiences where I was treated as cattle or merely a task to complete it made me very happy I was sent back to the waiting area unfortunately the waiting area isn?t very nice most the time when names were being called out they were whispered usually only once so if you had bad hearing you could?ve easily not heard it and could?ve been waiting much longer the outside is covered in cigarette butts and some of the chairs were torn open they?re poorly cushioned and very uncomfortable I even saw people opting to sleep on the floor instead there was some water for people to drink but nothing to eat the only vending machine that served food was crisps and chocolate which was overpriced so people who came here without money wouldn?t be able to eat I wasn?t seen in around 30 minutes instead I had to wait over 6-7 hours after my mom told the receptionists I was on the verge of collapsing I was swiftly seen by an extraordinarily kind man who took my blood pressure he reassured me and even made me laugh and smile I was eventually seen by another man who did me an ecg then another man who used a stethoscope on me then not long after that I finally received some pain medication my mom had been asking about all day they couldn?t find anything wrong with my ecg, blood pressure, or bloods so they had me do an x-ray another couple hours later I had my x-ray done by two very nice women we were told to sit in A&E waiting area again and when we got there we were informed by a woman who was also waiting that my name had been called I went into this different section where we were sent to sit on some cold thin metal chairs we were then waiting I think it was 2-3 hours where we were then seen again the guy said everything came back fine he thinks it?s just a viral infection of the heart so we went to get my meds the people working the pharmacy were very kind and treated me like a human which was nice

Not very nice approach from staffs especially in emergency department..They are not polite felt like ordering to bystanders.

I was left a voicemail with a number to call (didn't work) when I got through to the right department after waiting for 20 minutes then guy listened to what I had to say and put the phone down on me for no reason

Severe injury and yet waiting after 8 hours ?.. support staff more interested in chinwagging than working. No parking and extortionate charges.

This is a brilliant hospital. I have had multiple tests done here whilst living as a student in Sheffield. Compared to my home, the medical system here is incredible. The staff I have met on multiple wards have all been lovely and chatty. I am a nervous patient with high anxiety and this hospital has allowed me to work on my hospital phobia, with the most accommodating staff!

I am agrophobic and getting out is a big deal. When I had gall bladder Surgary, staff docters porters ambulance took me as I have difficult walking were amazing. I have to go back fot Cateract sugary soon as I am well enough. Frightened but I will be in good hands.

Me and my boyfriend have both not been taken seriously at this hospital. He was sent home with ?just a migraine? ? it turned out his brain was swelling. I was told I just had a sore stomach ? it turned out to be a gastric ulcer. Serious symptoms dismissed in both cases. Absolutely not okay.
