There are some good members of staff in this establishment however they are outnumbered by a good proportion of lazy apathetic staff. If they cracked a smile I'd be suspicious!! The only reason this place is still going is because of the cheap drinks which is unfortunately of detriment to nicer pubs around Hillsborough.

I have had breakfast here for two years with no problem. After today's experience I will never go again. An awful duty manager with a foul attitude ruined it. She started by gleefully refusing to substitute beans for mushroom on my friends breakfast. For two years this hasn't been a problem. She then got my order wrong and a vegan butty came instead of a vegan breakfast. Her fault, no apology. She then appeared saying that I needed to go to the bar and pay an extra 30p or I wouldn't get my food. I explained about customer service and he replied that it was a business. She seemed to miss the point. Eventually, after my friend had finished his meal, mine arrived. She gave me a dirty knife and fork. As she left I asked her for a clean knife and fork. No apology from her, no removal of the dirty cutlery. She reappeared five minutes later with cleaner cutlery, still no apology, still no removal of dirty cutlery. She didn't check it either, presumably she knew she had bought it over dirty in the first place.
A nasty experience in what up until today had been a regular eating place. All other staff seemed lovely, as always. This sad duty manager from today needs to go. Wetherspoons have been informed.

No hash browns today so alternative for the veggie breakfast was half a tomato? And there was no mushrooms. The alternative for the traditional breakfast was an extra sausage ( alternative for hash browns. Beans: nearly cold Bacon: soggy bottom Tomato: barely warm Sausages: also barely warm Toast: just warm. How?re coffee and tee was satisfactory. Not a great start to the day at all. Do not recommend, don?t go here!!!

Visited on way to tramlines ( 26 July 2025) as been before, ordered the large breakfast, when it came there was no bacon, as one of the workers passed us i told him there wasnt any bacon, he said he would let them know and bring me some. I waited and waited but no one came, wasn't going to leave breakfast until it came so carried on, wasn't impressed at all, other members of party also complained of food missing, nothing was sorted.

Good food, good service. Handy for public transport. Good atmosphere. Nice beer garden but the restrictions to vape/smoke is quite high. Only a very small area where this allowed.
