Refused to serve my Romanian friend as they ?didn?t feel comfortable? accepting her ID- simply ridiculous that such inequality can still occur in this day and age- in a spoons as well. Just truly shameful. tut tut.

Parking: Not loads of spaces but managed to get parked. It is a pay carpark but free for customers. Make sure to sign car in at bar

Not impressed with breakfast, and I've tried a number of different Wetherspoons. Nobody returned to ask if everything was ok with my breakfast (in other locations they do). Bacon was very burnt, but when I pointed this out all they said was that they'd make a note of it. I would have expected a new piece of bacon or something else to make up for it. Also, when I ate here a few days ago, nobody returned to check all was ok then either.
Edit: Returned this morning (Sunday) and received a sticky, unclean coffee mug followed by cutlery with traces of food on. Tomatoes burnt like never before, and dried up, extremely salty bacon. (Sheffield Waterworks Wetherspoons in the city centre, by comparison, gets it right every time.) Shame, as the Francis Newton is such a beautiful location.
11 Nov: Given an unwashed coffee mug covered in coffee splashes.
12 Nov: Ordered my coffee mug at 10:57 and after waiting nearly 20 minutes had to visit the bar at 11:15 to ask for it.
25 Nov: Lovely breakfast but dirty cutlery... again! And this was also after a 22 min wait since ordering.
29 Nov: Coffee mug with dried egg yolk around the bottom.
03 Dec: Clean mug delivered with a smile and without the wait. So much better)) ?
