Tesco trying to improve offers and with better prices.

Big sign next to Kit Kat 9 pack milk £1.50, charged £2.00. Got 50p refund at customer services but how many customers have been/are being overcharged ? More profit for Tesco's. No apology no promise to change signage/price. The management of Tesco's Penistone is poor at best

Absolutely dire if you want to pay cash. Only one cash self service working or spend 20 minutes in a queue as only three staffed tills open ALDI at Stockbridge for me from now on.

It's a tesco supermarket, what to expect? Lovely staff, too many self checkouts to ensure less jobs, less human interaction and more profits as if they need them for tesco. It always used to have everything you wanted (not needed) but Brexit has put an end to that. I've not been able to buy a cucumber there for ages! Who'd have thought in 2023 you couldn't buy a cucumber, there was never a shortage even in the 70s. Lots of empty shelves but tbf that's not tesco fault. . The carparking spaces are too small, it's created way more traffic in town, but suspect the extra jobs in the beginning made it worth it, but they are going automation so, our town suffers while tesco makes huge profits. Not fair. Bring on the next general election. The tories have basically stopped me from buying a cucumber - probably not that I could afford it now anyway due to their mishandling of the economy. It's a cost of living crisis OK - tory made.

Obnoxious staff .Me and my partner went to this store recently i was wanting to buy Alcohol although it was me that was buying it .The cashier asked for my partner to prove his age .He showed her his ID card issued by the country of his birth and she refused to accept it stating Tesco only accept uk photo id .So to save yourself being called a liar and embrassed in front of everyone i would advise anyone not a uk citizen to avoid buying anything from Tesco

Far far too expensive and still putting them up daily

Generally an ok store apart from the fruit and veg, consistently poor, goes off quickly , bruised fruit and todays visit was awful with poorly stocked shelves. Ready to eat avocados were just mush. If trying to be price sensitive with Aldi Lidl etc means stocking poor F+V then you are winning at that

Great if you want out of date fruit, veg and meat and love queueing for 30 mins to pay for 3 items as most tills gone and replaced by self serve.

Always friendly, great community spirit and a joy to shop there. Plenty of parking too.

Temperature control of vegetables is clearly wrong. Broccoli spoilt by being kept too cold, french beans wet and cold, lettuce full of condensation. Keep them cool, don't freeze them!

What a lovely place in this small town.Big car park, loads of trolleys and good Lighting.Very welcoming. Plenty of items as always in Tesco but vegetables are more expensive than other places. They should add clothing section and chemist as well. However I enjoyed the journey here.

This place is getting steadily worse. Empty shelves and chilled sections, no butchers or fishcounter, the trolleys all in a tangle at the front of the store and now some bright spark has taken out some more checkouts and replaced them with self service ones. Which causes queues at the staffed checkouts. I hope the person responsible is made to work Christmas week on the checkouts.
