Absolutely appalling service at this Tesco Express. One of the self-service tills was stuck on ?call for assistance? and not one member of staff helped. A man was doing his full shop at another self-checkout and the queue was building, yet the staff stood around chatting and ignoring everyone. I eventually walked out and left my shopping behind.
To make matters worse, I overheard some shockingly homophobic remarks between staff. It is unacceptable in any workplace, especially one that serves the public. The staff showed no interest in helping customers or even looking up to see if anyone needed assistance. No tills were manned, no urgency, no respect.
I will be taking my money elsewhere. Tesco should be ashamed of how this store is run.

Do not recommend.
Don't go unless it's your local, always something wrong but the staff are nice enough.

Never have I visited such a fantastic shop, the staff are so helpful. Sharon's always a laugh, part timer Raja sometimes goes on the till and Charlie can always be relied on. Never a dull time in that shop.

If your waiting in the queue for the till when busy good luck never hardly 2 staff members behind the till just see rest of workers walking about. All staff look miserable only guy who cracks a smile in there is the oldish sercruuty guy

Abusive staff, who clearly think that serving a customer is 'putting them out'. I will avoid that retailer from now on, and instead choose a shop that values it's customers, like Sainsburys, Waitrose and Aldi.

October 17th,2023, I wanted to send a parcel via Evri, the assistants at Abbeydale Road Tesco Express, suggested I went to the Sharrow Lane branch as their Evri machine was broken down.I really wasn't sure how to correctly use the Evri label machine... Ed kindly asked Charlie to assist me, he was so efficient and helpful he completed the task for me!Thank you so much Charlie and Ed!
