Had to visit the one branch we have in Sheffield to use the machine to deposit money. Machine ate the money, message on screen said something about a hardware failure and then didn?t deposit into our account.
Worrying thing is, there was no indication on the machine afterwards to alert others of the issue.
And what?s with the stupid opening hours? They might work if there were more branches available but not with just the single branch.
We?re moving bank as well. These clowns are getting worse

Not a good bank. Too much of a push towards online banking and a cashless society in my opinion. They are only open from 10am-3pm most days and there is only one branch left in the city centre. I do not feel safe using this bank as i am concerned about access to cash and struggling to use digital online banking with unreasonable strings attatched.

Santander will not stamp a bank statement. My son who is studying abroad asked for this for a VISA (stamped statements part of the process) and they refused, they said we could get the post office to stamp it at a cost of £12.75. All other banks will authorise there own paperwork but not Santander. It appears they do not want to help people who are their customers.

Terrible opening times especially with this being the only branch in sheffield now. How are people working full time meant to get in before 3pm . Closing meadowhall was the worst thing you could have done . Unfortunately I will be looking at changing banks to a more flexible and available bank

Was served by a young cocky arrogant man with short dark hair and a short beard by the name of Robert. Didn?t know what to do and didn?t want to know what to do. Never offered another member of staff to help out. Gave me a number to ring, didn?t even offer to call the number himself. Couldn?t have cared less. This guy seriously needs to learn some customer care skills.

Went to the branch three times to switch an account into my santander account, last visit i waited 1hr 30 just for a 5 min conversation saying they arent able to switch me. Giving two stars just because staff were at least nice. im using a different bank though, wasted too much time at santander!
