ZERO STARS!!!
I went into this Sainsbury?s branch on The Moor in Sheffield near the end of June 2025 and was totally appalled.
They have 2 or 3 ?manned? tills and numerous ?self-checkout? tills. However on THIS occasion ALL the ?manned? tills were closed and - as I struggle to use self-checkouts ? I wandered around aimlessly hoping they?d see fit to open a till. I even asked a shelf-filler if they were planning to open a till. But she asked to ask an assistant nearer the tills. But there WASN?T anyone! She also said that someone would be able to help me if I used the self-checkouts. Again, ?easier said that done? as there were only a couple of staff at the self-checkouts and EXCESSIVE customers in the self-checkouts! It was UTTER mayhem! There isn?t even a ?queueing system?. You?d think that they would see how busy it was, and how many people were struggling to find an empty till, and then have the decency to open some ?manned? tills. But no, they had NO interest whatsoever!
Took me ages to get someone to help me and I ?WAS? going to leave my basket and leave the store, but I eventually found someone to help me and she scanned my items for me. What a farce! So I certainly won?t be using this store again! In fact, I only recently defected to Sainsbury?s from Aldi. But I think I?ll defect BACK! After all, Sainsbury?s was the worst shopping experience EVERRRRR!!
As for their prices, words fail me! I only found baked beans 26p, and boxes of cat food (12 pouches) £2.59. The ONLY things I could find of value. Their selection of biscuits was dreadful, as was the prices. I don?t know why people shop with them due to the poor customer service and high prices!
They install self-checkouts so they can ?avoid? paying someone to work on a ?manned? till so they can save money. But they?ll happily pay 2 or 3 security guards to ?strut? around making the place look UNTIDY and UNINVITING. But it?s ?staff? we need to serve people on ?manned? tills as some of us struggle with self-checkouts, but Sainsbury?s don?t seem to care! It seems to me that Sainsbury?s see us as ?inconveniences?. But don?t worry, I won?t ?inconvenience? you again!
NEVER AGAIN! SAD place to shop! Maybe they need to adopt a slogan such as ?SERVE YOURSELF! WE WON?T?

Layout is bizarre.
But does have the basics and then some, including an Argos.
Layout needs looking at though.

Everything is complete. The vegetables and fruits are all very fresh. After getting a membership card, there are also discounts from time to time! Chinese snacks are also cheaper than those sold in Chinese supermarkets! I will defend it to the death

Popped in for a meal deal and the item selected was highlighted as a main side and drink, once I got them to the till they was no longer classed as a meal deal and after asking for help and been shown the correct items in the deal they still wasn't in a meal deal this is false advertising at its finest.

just a standard Sainsbury's. layout could be better/bakery area gets cramped & often wish it was open past 7pm.
