Stayed here recently. And I?ve got to say with no exaggeration, this is the worst hotel I?ve stayed in. The location is fairly poor and the area around the hotel is sketchy. The reception staff were quite rude and seemed to be asking unnecessary questions during a lengthy check in. By the time we got into the tiny lift and up to the room I was already annoyed. The room was full of dust, stains and I hardly slept. I thought premier inns were meant to be good these days? This room hadn?t been renovated in a long time and it showed. The walls were peeling, dust on everything. Walls with marks all over, lampshades looked like they?d had 10 pints. Honestly the bathroom, I felt like I was in a train station toilet. The toilet was filthy and the toilet roll is something I?ve never encountered at any other hotel all over the world. Certainly won?t be coming back. I?ve stayed at much better 2* hotels.

Can't fault the hotel, it does all you expect at this budget. The location is unfortunate to be next door to the job centre and thus there are a few too many grubby individuals about. Rather a lot of broken bottles and rubbish about outside, left by the delightful socially worthless of Sheffield.

Breakfast staff are very friendly and the breakfast is very good. Reception staff are very helpful. Location is terrible, in fact I felt quite unsafe if I went out of the hotel in the evening as groups of people congregate close by. The WIFI is shockingly bad, I found the free WIFI unusable, I paid for the ?ultimate WIFI? and that was only a slight improvement on the free stuff. I tried to get my room cleaned halfway through my stay, mainly for new towels and get the bin emptied. Cleaning staff never visited my room, got the towels my self.

Location is perfect for city centre work. Special mention to Dafyd for grabbing me an emergency toothbrush and Wendy and Diane on service in the restaurant for breakfast and tea. Staff were lovely but the food was pretty bland and all unhealthy stuff. The beds were very comfy although very cold.

The good: opening windows, early checkin, got a quiet room down the side street, heating worked (you need it, the rooms are freezing), friendly checkin staff, close to shops.The bad: no WiFi signal, cheap mattress, skeleton staff, area a bit run down and lots of druggies around, no deadbolt or safe, cleaning by request only.Would stay again in a Plus room for max £60.

Stayed here a couple of months ago , the room was lovley ( could have done with more tea , coffee n milks , the staff were lovley , we had ordered breakfast , we ended up leaving hungry , the cooked buffet wasn't what you see on TV, ended up going to a cafe , if you stay here I reccomend you get breakfast from somewhere

The Premier Inn in Sheffield is great - friendly staff, clean, good-sized rooms, decent beds. The bar is usually quiet in the evenings, so offers a peaceful haven from the hustle bustle of the city. Location-wise, it couldn't be better! A short walk to the cathedral, city centre and theatres.They offer discounted parking at Arundel Gate NCP as well, which is not far to walk. All in all, good value, good hotel, good staff - what's not to like?

The location is great. We checked in ourselves. The room was clean and spacious.However, at the breakfast hall the assistant was flirting straight away with my husband just to get tip I guess. Very unprofessional and nasty. She ruined my stay.

Really nice stay... Staffs were very well behaved... Its exactly in the centre of the city centre... Bus, train and tram are really easy accessible...

We had an overall very pleasant stay at the hotel on the 21st and the 22nd of December 2023. The staff I can not express were friendly, accommodating and very professional. Made sure that they did the best of their ability to arrange all of our special requests. The only marks that took away from our stay were that the lever to turn the shower on was tat and there was only hot water available. We were glad of the hot water. However, it was almost unbearable to stand under. Really should have half stars available to select as this is really a 3 1/2 star hotel.Rooms: Clean and tidyWalkability: Hotel is close to city centre well within walking distance. Very convenient to the bus terminal and train station.

It's another Premier Inn, however, it was a bad experience, nice staff, clean and tidy throughout, warm, quiet and comfortable. Food and drink on par to all the others, what more would you expect? For me, as it was a work trip, it was conveniently close to everything so I can't grumble really, it's exactly what it says on the tin.

I wonder if anyone actually works at this hotel?I stayed here and you charged my card, said it didn?t work so made me pay again, you then said I would be refunded because you had taken the payment twice due to your new system messing up, and now 3 weeks (15 business days later) I still have no received my refund AND after about 10 times trying different options on your phone line no one ever answers?I?d appreciate it if someone could respond.
