Recent visit to buy some clothes and could not redeem vouchers, I found the staff very abrupt and unhelpful saying it was nothing to do with them, until I pointed out it said M&S on the voucher and I was in an M&S store! Waited 10 minutes for a manager and then left, think some staff need retraining about customer services

We visited the M & S Cafe at their Crystal Peaks for a light lunch.My first impression when ordering our food was there were insufficient staff serving customers.
Long queues at the tills, tables not cleared & staff acting & looking stressed.
I ordered two jacket potatoes one with beans & cheese the other with avocado & three beans chilli plus drinks.
The order was taken & after a very long wait for the food l was told the chilli option was no longer available.
Unfortunately this is not the first time l have experienced this problem in this cafe.
When l politely complained to the member of staff. She showed little interest and l was told that they regularly experience items under delivered.
I asked to speak to the manageress and when she appeared she was more disinterested than the staff member.
She concurred under deliveries were a regular problem & there was nothing she could do. The manageress took no ownership of the problem, did not apologise & advise me to fill in a survey.
Remember M & S like to boast in their advertisements about their service, quality of food, their food experience etc.
Alas standards have been falling at M & S for quite awhile and this latest episode in their cafe just confirms this.
Let?s be honest we are not expecting a 5 course a la carte meal. It?s a cafe that has quite a limited food offering and they can?t get that right.
I felt sorry for their staff who seem to be fire fighting and had no faith in senior management to resolve or listen to issues.
My advise to anyone thinks about using M&S Cafes is to try elsewhere.
They are too big and take their customers for granted.

August 2024 - took over 25 minutes to purchase some shoes. Managers were so unhelpful.

Despite ordering a Christmas turkey several weeks ago, was sold the wrong one. Went back and they had to look for the free range we ordered. Turned out, we weren't the only customers having problems. Not good

Bought a meal deal at c.peaks m&s
One of the meals was a chicken kurma.
Chicken was fine the sauce was like yellow water.not one ounce of coconot teste.got to say its the Worse chicken kurma ive ever had.someone from above ought to try this meal .it would be taken off there shelf straight away. Rest of food was lovely .

Click and collect dreadful at this store. 20 min wait chasing non existent staff to find out who?s on it. The reply no one is answering on the headset. Sometimes staff cut backs really show this is a prime example
