“My husband organised a 30th birthday party for me at Burton Hall at the Burton Street Foundation and my goodness what a venue! The staff were attentive and welcoming, they put on an amazing vegan buffet for us and the space itself was more than enough for people to boogie, sit down at tables or have some quieter space when needed. I'd highly recommend this venue to anyone needing to hire a space for an event!”

“A good local gym with loads of equipment. Split into two sections, cardio on the left and weights on the right. Great idea as it means you don't hear people slamming weights while you're rowing :)The changing rooms are decent. A few broken/jammed lockers but the vast majority are fine. The showers are clean and there's more cubicles than my local!I went in the morning and early afternoon and it wasn't too crowded. It's a 24 hour gym so that's really convenient.For the price, it's really good value.”

“What can I say? It's an excellent gym that's reasonably priced, with loads of great quality equipment, options to attend group classes for free which is there almost everyday. The option to visit any gym of the group across the country makes it even better!”

“I pay £46 per month to go with my daughter and my baby to the pool and since my daughter is not home educated and she's in the school they don't let me in with the baby and her because it's a one-to-one ratioafter 3pm (they never told me when I joined in, she's 7 and knows how to swim. So we've been paying for a full year and only been able to enter twice when they were not watching. Using our wristbands. I don't like to lie and say she's 8 and in the end it's the only thing I have left because I have a contract and I can't stop it but I am wasting my money and time every time I go and they say I can't enter”

“I was placed here on a referral from the NHS. The staff are very friendly and helpful in trying to achieve your goals. They go above and beyond. The equipment is all functional and up to date. For the money, the gym is not, however, worth it, which prevents it from being given 5 stars”

“I found this is the best gym in Sheffield with great environment, clean equipment and fabulous spa and sauna. The group classes are very popular and highly organised. This is not the cheapest option in the area but worth every penny and this is why it is almost full at the peak times. Nevertheless I always find a place to park. I don't think anyone will ever regret being a part of Virgin Active.”

“This is easily the cleanest gym I have ever set foot in. The staff are friendly and accommodating. Its never too busy and there is always equipment available to use. Membership is more expensive than other local competitors, but it's well worth the extra cost. Shout out to Horace, hes a top guy and made me feel welcome from the moment I joined.”
