HOT TUB OUT OF ORDER AND WILL BE FOR SEVERAL MONTHS.I attended on the 16th March for a spa day and afternoon tea with 5 others.Previously we'd had a lovely time, but sadly in the space of a few months the spa area has drastically deteriorated. Tiles missing or loose around the pool, huge pools of water around the steam room sauna making the floors extremely slippery they wasn't cleaned half as much as they was on on Previous visit.The jacuzzi is out of order and will be for approximately 4-6 months according to Seb the manager.They don't let you know until you arrive!Afternoon tea was disgusting, we had a dairy allergy in our party which the hotel was made aware of at the time of booking yet on arrival had missed this so informed us the lady could only have dry sandwiches which they just threw on a plate, which she had to wait ab additional 30 minutes for.We spent nearly 2 hours trying to resolve this which meant we then missed 2hours of our spa time.

Typical Double tree. Bedroom decor looking a little tired but the rest of hotel better.Don't like paying a fiver to swim which I was looking forward to after working a full day.Location is okay but not an awful lot close by.Food very expensive so didn't try, the breakfast in the morning was very good and compared well compared to others I have stayed at.WiFi is good & free parking. Overall very good but due to the above comments a 4.5 does it for me.

I?ve had better stays. Each time I arrived at the front desk (3 times), there was no one there. Waited several minutes each time for someone to show up. I received my doubletree cookie which was quite dry and crumbly, and not even warm (even though he appeared to pull it from the warming drawer). Went to my room, floor display in elevator was completely shattered and unreadable. In the room, the AC did not work and there was no phone to call the front desk with. Received a new room which was much better. Later on, went downstairs to ask for a bottle of water. I was told that they had run out but was directed to buy one at the gas station about a 10 minute walk away in the middle of the night. Didn?t feel that safe, but I did it successfully. I?ve definitely stayed at worse hotels but this was not, in my opinion, up to usual doubletree standards.

Been numerous times to the doubletree staff amazing always so helpful hotel is our goto place for relaxation and friendly faces not being biace to one member of staff but have to say nick on reception is such an exceptional person in every way nothing to much trouble all ways a smile makes our stay fantastic our very own award goes to nick amazing human being thank youRooms: Beds good added bonus having fridge in roomsFood & drinks: Good

We use Hilton Hotels across the world, not showing off, just trying to establish that we know the group well and how good and not so they can be.This is a poor Hotel in the group.There is one point of excellence - the front of house team. Super friendly, trying hard for the customer. And seemingly, each one giving of their Best with the very poor product they have.The rooms are tired. Shabby even.They (ours specifically) 'felt' grubby, not dirty, but definitely grubby.The mugs in our room were in fact, unclean.The net curtains were badly stained & dirty with foundation makeup (presumbly by some inconsiderate, didn't deserve to be there customer). The issue I have with the hotel team, is that they simply left these curtains for the next customer (us?) to enjoy.The photo of the lampshade typifies what the room 'appearcne was like.Our REAL gripe with this hotel is its restuarant.As a breakfast room, it's fine. The breakfast offer was good. The serving team, were excellent.For lunch and dinner this restauranty is branded Marco Pierre White. By design & intention, this heigthens customer expectations.The first things to say is this: the portions in the main are not sufficient to 'satisfy' a moderate appetitie.The dishes are expensive, very expensive for what they are eg 6 'small' rings of Calamari fried in a batter that (on this occassion) literally fell away from the seafood £9.95 A flavourless Prawn Cocktail consisting a pile of watery tasteless prawns, a scrap of lettuce and a flavourless marie rose sauce £10.95 A COMPLETELY INEDIBLE Macaroni Cheese side £12 (both portions were sent back to the kitchen with our server screwing his nose up at the food.One can only Aassume that the Brand owner has no interest or concern about what his name is put to and is focused solely on the license monies gained.An attrocious restaurant that could almost ... almost, be accused of ripping its customers off believing itself immune to the need to be adequate because there is nowhere locally to walk, on a cold or rainy day/evening as an alternative. And even if it wasn't cold, but perhaps after a long drive, one would like to eat in the hotel.With only 2 thirds of restaurant seats occupied, HOTEL GUESTS were turned away because the retsaurant was too busy. At 8.30pm Hotel guests were told the restaurant was closed.Overall, the hotel promises everything that the Hilton Group does and delivers next to none of it.We will not be returning to this hotel and will think very carefully before entering another restaurant operating under this brand name, now with the belief that the Brand Owner actually has nothing to do with any monitoring or management of the customer offer.

As Hilton Diamonds member, this is the worst Hilton hotel I?ve ever been to among hundreds of Hilton hotel visited across the world.The hotel stuff are no familiar with the hotel and Hilton membership, and they are unable to provide essential customer service.I will use IHG next time as they provided excellent service when I last visited them

Nice and quite hotel , need some maintenace to improve elevator and doors. Very Good restaurant and bar. Excellent staff.. pool and sauna at additional 5 gbp. Free parking. Breakfast included.

I spent £80 for two on the afternoon tea and spa day.The jacuzzi and a steam room were out of order but the service from bar and restaurant staff was excellent. Especially that of Sue. What a wonderful human being and a delight to talk to.Made our trip absolutely worth while and deserves all the praise she can get.

Clean tidy rooms nice size bathroom and the shower is very powerful the beds very comfortable

Very good clean hotel and staff wonderful restaurant not good not up to yhe same standard as hotel needs looking at.
