A lovely range of sofas but the downside was the 22 weeks wait. Ouch!

Extremely Poor Delivery Service ? Still No Sofa After Weeks
I ordered a sofa from DFS [include order number if you want]. The delivery has failed twice:
1. First attempt ? a large truck arrived, but the drivers couldn?t find parking and just left.
2. Second attempt ? a van arrived, but the team couldn?t bring the sofa into the property.
On both occasions, I was at home, ready to receive the delivery. The failures were entirely due to DFS?s own logistical issues, not mine.
Now, weeks later, I still have no sofa and DFS is making the process unnecessarily difficult. I have requested a full refund as the item was never delivered, and I expect this to be resolved immediately.
Very disappointed and will not be recommending DFS to anyone.

A very pleasant experience all round. No pressure here, relaxed and comfortable atmosphere to browse through their displayed suites etc. Friendly and helpful sales team on hand to advise or make you a coffee. No hassle or pushiness

Went to have a look with my partner and would say that Zak has all the charisma of a wet lettuce. Asked for some further information regarding prices, discounts and upfront costs but he really did not seem interested in spending more than 60 seconds with us. We will not be returning and certainly won?t be spending money at this particular store.

Not impressed with the staff or manager at the store, Visited twice after speaking to Zak who had said the manager could do better with the price on the furniture we were interested in. We had to go home to measure up , when we returned , apparently what Zak had said is he had not said to them. Didn't like how they dealt with the situation, the manager was there, however he did not come and speak to us. I had a much better experience ordering online the furniture we wanted.

Unfortunately a very poor experience...
My elderly parents visited the DFS Sheffield store and were very specific about their requirements for a sofa to fit their needs from a medical perspective. This meant ensuring that the height and other dimensions were amenable for them to comfortably reach the ground with their feet for correct lumbar support (due to osteoporosis issues). They tested the sofas (in store) and placed an order. Upon receiving a phone call to head into store and settle the remaining 90% balance, they were informed that the final product would differ to the listed dimensions on the DFS website due to the 'type of material and cushioning' which had been used to manufacture the sofa. This difference was over 7cm in height ~ c. 3 inches - something which I argued was an unacceptable delta and a significant difference to what they had assumed/wished to purchase. Upon contacting customer service, we were assured by a number of helpful representatives that reselection of a sofa would not be a problem and that the store manager would be in contact to arrange for such and rectify. Unfortunately, David (store manager at Sheffield), remained adamant that he was unwilling to do anything to help and that they were 'stuck' with what they had selected as this was deemed a 'bespoke order' - notwithstanding that this particular product is listed as a 'bestseller' on the website and was ordered in a "natural" colour scheme. It unfortunately became apparent that this approach was clearly an aggressive strategy to push through a sale on my elderly and unwell parents. Only upon speaking with me did David's stance change and he reluctantly agreed to cancel the sale. I have asked on a number of occasions for him to refund the sizable deposit on the grounds that the product differs to the intended order and, indeed, the listing on the website. He has ignored my requests and further correspondence. I had initially hoped we would find a solution to the problem with DFS and chose a different product but it is clear that this is no longer appropriate and I must therefore warn others of my experience with the company and more so through Sheffield store vis-a-vi 'after-sales' service and indeed the general conduct.

Terrible experience with DFS Sheffield ? misleading promises and poor customer service!
I ordered a sofa from DFS Sheffield on 28th August and was given a delivery date of 20th November. Before placing my order, I had a thorough discussion with the sales representative, who assured me there was no real risk of further delays. Based on their word, I went ahead and made the full payment, confident that I?d have my sofa by the agreed date.
However, just days before the expected delivery, I received an email informing me that the delivery had been pushed to after 30th November ? a significant delay that I wasn?t prepared for, especially after the reassurance from their staff. When I reached out to DFS customer service, I was shocked at their response. Instead of providing any solution or help, they simply stated that it was ?in the terms and conditions? that deliveries can be delayed and that I ?should have noticed that.? They didn?t seem interested in understanding my situation, let alone offering any form of resolution.
This experience feels like a complete lack of transparency and accountability. DFS Sheffield should have been upfront about the potential for delays, especially given the current circumstances in the retail industry. Instead, I was misled, left waiting, and met with unhelpful customer service focused on technicalities rather than actually addressing my concerns.
I?m extremely disappointed in DFS Sheffield and their handling of my order. I?d advise anyone considering a purchase with DFS to think twice ? if they?re not prepared to honor their promises, you?ll likely be met with a frustrating and disappointing experience.

Very disappointed with the overall service from DFS. We ordered our sofa at the end of January, stating we needed it in 3-4 weeks. We were told this could be achieved by going down the express delivery route, meaning we couldn't choose the colour.
We agreed to this on the proviso that after that 4 week period had elapsed we could have the sofa the in 3-4 days.
Surprise, Surprise this didn't happen and when we wanted delivery, we were told it would be another month. What followed were a number of phone calls and emails where none of my questions were answered and I was just fed the line 'it will be delivered when we get it from our suppliers '?
When delivery was ready rather than the facts that are stated on the website about delivery being available 7 days a week at a time to suit me, I was called and told that delivery would be with 2 days notice 'when they had a vehicle in the area' . Again more political answers from customer service, I was finally able to accept delivery as my son had a day off.
This is the 3rd and last sofa we'll buy from DFS, my message to them would be to honour your promises and answer questions asked rather than just stating the same pre-directed lines.
