The staff have always been totally lovely to me, no complaints there. I don't eat ultra processed food, so I've nothing to rate there. However, can I please ask you to change the hoover bag, it smells bad and it's off putting when the only place to sit is downstairs because the upstairs is closed. My guess is Costa won't pay staff to hoover after closing, so I won't blame the staff, why should they work for free.

Four of us went just after half four, staff were inflexible and couldn?t give us a table upstairs to sit at, they were just telling us to go downstairs, where we were squished onto a two seater table. They said it?s because they were cleaning, but it?s open till 7pm. Friendly service and nice drinks, but this has put me off a bit.

The 23rd of November was a cold day.
I entered this café to warm up.
The drink was great as always, but more importantly, the upstairs where I was sitting had almost no heating. I sat close to the radiator, but it was completely cold. I was surprised that I could see my breath as white steam. I fought the cold for an hour, but finally I gave in. In fact, it was the coldest café experience I have ever had.
I think it was not a normal condition that this cafe offers its customers and I was just unlucky that the heating was broken that day, although I did not see any precaution that the heating was broken. If I was a cafe manager I would have forbidden customers to go upstairs when the heating was broken because the experience I had was not the kind of experience I would like to offer customers.
I am not sure if it was my bad luck or a difference in perception of the ideal temperature for a cafe experience, but it was the most disastrous temperature I have ever had in a cafe.

Absolute chaos. Totally forgot my order, served about 5-6 people. When I asked about my order they had forgotten it then made the order over the course of about 10 minutes. Forgot multiple peoples food in the queue thus creating a huge crowd of people stood with drinks waiting for paninis pastries etc. no one preparing trays, staff just sort of stood staring at each other waiting for the others to do something. Bizarre.

The place is scruffy and shabby especially the seating . Cups and plates feel dirty, scratched and pitted .
Toilets are disgusting for such a food establishment. Kitchen door open to view by customers and that looked less than hygienic. Cakes are overpriced for the size and quality. Customers clearing tables of dirty pots in order to sit down..
Not staffs fault they were all pleasant it's back to the business poor model and not spending to refurbish. There's so many more nice clean places to go for a coffee or a cuppa this wouldn't be my first choice

You know that Costa Coffee down the road, and that one in the city centre?
This one is exactly the same.
Not necessarily a bad thing, at least you know what you're getting.
Parking: There is a paid parking lot around the corner, but it is small.
