I've have been going to various opticians for the past 30 years and I have to say this is the best service I have received. Where as other chain opticians throw any glasses at you to get you out of the store asap, these actually take time to find ones which suit you and your prescription the best. I will be going there again.

I have used Birds opticians several times and always successfully. Twice they have replaced damaged lenses in frames I already owned and this has worked very well. I have also purchased prescription sunglasses. The staff are pleasant and professional. Excellent information provision and sympathetic advice. Highly recommended.

Whilst waiting in reception I found the way a staff member eleanor was speaking to another member of staff down right rude. Before eleanor and Suzanne appeared from downstairs i found the staff lovely and the shop nice. The two mentioned changed(lowered) the tone. Without those 2 would have gave a solid 4.5.

Very helpful staff, The fellow who helped me with getting prescription sunglasses lenses was very helpful and thorough. They also helped me with a dodgy prescription that specsavers gave me, and provided me with a much more comfortable and sensible prescription. After seeing how amateurish specsavers is, this place felt much more professional so I will be going back to them from now on I think.
