This was my regular shopping place when I lived at Middlewood. It's in a good location: close to Leppings Lane and the tram station. Their bakery section has recently been expanded, which is good to see because I like cakes.

Convenient and local with big store prices

Asda express. Large selection of groceries for a small supermarket.
Parking is available at the back of the store, but tricky given the main road & garage sales next door.

Pretty big Asda for its location with a hot deli counter, bakery and homeware aisles.
Unfortunately it's a little on the expensive side. I'm not sure if this is a thing with all Asda stores or just because of its location.

I took my packet of dried peas to the checkout. They began to fall out of the box on to the floor.When I said to the checkout assistant"Sorry I have pea-d on the floor." she was not impressed. Must have had a humour bypass.
