This place boasted charming decorations and a festive atmosphere. There was Diwali-themed decor and a vibrant display of authentic Indian snacks that created a lovely visual appeal. The music added to the ambiance, featuring traditional tunes. However, the positives were somewhat overshadowed by the cramped seating arrangements. The tables felt uncomfortably close together, making it difficult to enjoy the experience. Whilst the aesthetic was on point, the atmosphere lacked the warmth and comfort. We were pleased with the variety of vegan options on the menu. The food was good and we especially enjoyed the Naan. However we encountered issues with the service here. After being seated, we waited over 30 minutes for anyone to acknowledge to take our order. Eventually, we had to call a staff member over. It's not attentive customer care. Fortunately the speed at which our food arrived was much better, but the disconnect between the staff and diners was evident. I'm not sure we will be returning, unless we decide to check out the other location.

Very disappointed, restaurant closed at lunchtime Thursday 24/20 despite website saying open.Wont be bothering again. I have noted the owners reply and can assure him him that I do possess manners . I tried to book on the website today but it didn't allow me to book. If it had, would it have it have opened specially? Restaurant totally shuttered and shut even though advertised as a takeaway open at lunchtime .Food may be good, attitude not so.

Visited 5tara to celebrate my partners birthday. It was somewhere we?d spoken about a lot and as we live locally were excited to visit. We booked a few weeks in advance and the whole process was easy enough and confirmed quickly. We arrived just in time for our booking. There only seemed to be one member of staff working. They directed us to our seats whilst serving someone else. Shortly after being seated our order was taken. Food came out quite quickly and the server seemed a little scatty. They forgot drinks or would say they?d fetch us something and just forgot. The server kept talking to the table next to us with a dog, constantly bringing it treats. The table next to us got all the stuff they ordered quite promptly but we had to remind the server once or twice for stuff. Another member of staff appeared and went table to table speaking and interacting but didn?t approach us at all. Finally, when we came to pay, it was another rush and server was gone again. Whilst the food was great - the staff created an atmosphere that we were not wanted. Again, great food but awkward atmosphere. I?ll be in no rush to return.

Not your average Indian.
A great place to eat with an excellent and very different menu when compared to many Indian restaurants in the area. Service was friendly, welcoming, it was nice to be served by someone prepared to take the time to explain all aspects of the menu. Most of the dishes were vegan or vegetarian.

What a find. Not big standard curries but interesting options, very many vegan or vegetarian. Will definitely be back!
