A group of us met here for breakfast. There is a small car park at the side of the building. Finding the Entrance was a challenge as the main door to the building was locked and the side door we were told to use lead to a function room which was in darkness and currently being refurbished. We eventually found the correct entrance. The dining room is beautifully decorated, it wasn't busy. We had a lovely circular table. Service was fantastic, friendly and efficient. The breakfast menu is very good and the food was well cooked, tasty and well presented. Prices are reasonable. I had a nice breakfast butty. I would definately eat here again.

Booked a table here for 5 people .arrived on day saying we had got table for 4 people and not the reserved table we was told. Food ok but wouldnt recommend. Squeezed us onto a smaller table and gave us extra chair which was a stool toi large for table. To be honest wont be booking for family meal again. Thourghly disappointed

I hate leaving negative reviews and have sat on this but my husband and I visited recently to meet our son and girlfriend who live in the village for lunch. We arrived at 12, the pub was quiet but immediately something felt "off", no greeting from the staff, in fact we felt distinctly in the way and very unwelcome. Our food and drink orders were met with huffing and puffing like we were an inconvenience. We took advantage of the lunch club menu - we couldn't fault the food. It was beautifully presented and was really good. However it was unceremoniously dumped on our table by a very surly young woman. The three female staff made us feel extremely unwelcome. An older smart lady came to check how our food was and I regret not telling her about the attitude of the staff. Do you put it down to an off day? However yesterday my son visited and received the same poor level of service and was astounded to hear the staff bitching about customers who had just left and hadn't left a tip! That is completely unacceptable. It's such a shame that your staff feel this way about serving customers. It has definitely put us off visiting again and our business will go down the street to The George & Dragon and The Old Smithy. It has given me no pleasure leaving a negative review but you will have no business left if your staff have a problem with customers in general.

Edit in response to the manager: the last time I was in there, you and your staff were complaining very openly about customers who had just left. And yes, the pricing has more than doubled, e.g. draught lagers moving from 3.50ish to 6.50 plus - trying to lie about this increase is just nonsense.I live in the village, prior to the refurbishment the pub was a central element to the village. After the refurb and the new staff brought in, the prices for basic drinks have raised in excess of 100%. The decor, whilst a little bit more pleasant, make eating here really uncomfortable. The staff have also become pretty unpleasant and I've had a number of instances of the staff venting to me about their team or being combative when asked for receipts or placing orders. If you're visiting wentworth, go to the George and dragon if you can.

Went for Mother's Day with my family and we all ordered a roast dinner that came cold. We informed staff who went to warm it up. The veg was limp, appeared as though some elements were frozen veg and my vege dish was tasteless. We were asked if we enjoyed our lunch as half of us didn't eat it and we replied no. We were offered desserts, which I thought should have been offered complimentary as an apology for the poor service and quality, but no we were billed for these. We have been many times and enjoyed other meals there before (not ordered a roast dinner before though). As this was a very sprecial occasion, we were totally disappointed with the service and quality of food. I hope staff read this comment and act differently to other customers.

Fish and chips £13.50 I?ve had better chip shop meals only 10 chips and a spoonful of peas and think the fish came from Iceland frozen foods

Difficult to review when whenever you ring, their answerphone says they'll get back you within 48 hours. Not very helpful when you want table availability that njght
