Very awkward to exit if you haven't purchased anything, as the only way out is via the queue to pay. Not easy if you have a pushchair, and everyone complaining every time you ask the to move. Management need to look into this.

Shop here quite alot but today wasn't a good experience, I came across a very rude staff member who wasn't happy that I was paying cash then asked me for an email which I havent got in use and she was very sarcastic about this then continued to shout to me as I walked out of the store. I have complained too the manager and she deserves to be sacked. Will be using a different store from now on.

Awful experience, I asked politely if one of the staff could unlock a trolley for us to put our child inside as we had forgot a pound.
However they refused, and none of staff would trust us in returning a pound coin.
One took the idea to ask for my car keys for the £1 coin?
I believe this is a great example of terrible customer service, if you don?t trust your customers to deliver back the £1 coin or have any trolley tokens then why would the customer trust to spend any money in your store. This has really put us off spending any money in matalan and I don?t plan on ever revisiting ever again?

Can never find bigger sizes, everything is mostly medium, the men's section is small and doesn't offer a lot of choice.
Update: Looks like the men's section has shrunk even more while woman's section has increased and takes up at least 3 quarters of the store now. You'll be lucky to find any large sizes beyond extra large. Far too often we just walk out as choice just isn't there.
