Extremely poor service! Do not recommend Halfords. I purchased tyres online and booked an appointment for the next day, with an additional charge. Upon arrival, they informed me that the tyres were not available, blaming the online system for allowing the booking. They suggested they would call when the tyres arrived, but after two hours, there was still no update. They provided no specific time frame and lacked any means of tracking the order. I had to cancel the appointment due to other commitments. Overall, the booking service is terrible, and the staff cannot address customer concerns or follow up. It's worth noting that Halfords themselves advised me to book online. I will never use Halfords again.

From start to finish my experience was extremely poor. Long waiting times due to their inefficiency, poor communication throughout and total incompetence from the the team and their manager and overall a total waste of my time which left me out of pocket. Manager said he would look into my concerns but never came back to me, when I went back to them and spoke to the manager again to rebook he said he would send a message with my appointment time, needless to say he never did, so I took my business elsewhere. AVOID at all costs!! If there was a zero star option here I would have given it. Mistakes and human error happen, but it?s how you rectify these and communicate well, based on the experience of this Halfords branch it is evident that they couldn?t care less about their customers and for that reasons I will not return.

I've given Halfords autocentre 1 star but only because I can't give it zero. It deserves no stars at all. Utterly hopeless. My husband took our campervan for a simple service but they oyverfilled the oil. He got a too much oil warning light so he called and they said to come straight over to remove some. But when he got there they then said they were too busy which wasted an hour of his time. So he made another appointment for first thing Saturday am. He got there before before they opened but they still kept him waiting for over an hour before taking the van in. After another hour or so they said it was done so he drove home. But again they had not done their job properly and the light came on again and checking the dip stick shows there is still too much oil in it. How difficult is it to put the right amount of oil in? We had no more time and now we are on holiday with a warning light constantly beeping. Utterly unacceptable. And at no point did they ever bother apologising. I recommend going anywhere else but here.

Never ever any halfordsI give them to clean o2 sensor, adblue refill and dpf clean the one for £85. Drove for about 1 mile and engine management light came on. Went back they diagnosed the car and told me my nox sensor is faulty. Then did not admitted their mistake and I ended up at dealer paying £744 for new device.All I get from them refund "to pay towards bew sensor" as they said."Dfp was measured at 0.2 so it was clean and they been cleaning anyways.

Absolutely shocking garage.. was waiting 48 hours for a brake pad change as they managed to snap a bolt over tightening..To then collect and be told the back pads didn?t need doing as they had a 5mm on and that just to ignore the warnings?!? 1 day later and how I havnt been killed driving a van in wet icy weather with no pads left on the rear is beyond me?they couldnt give a explanation on why they had supposedly checked them but found them safe with 5mm on?! I said I?d wait and like to look at the pads to be told they couldn?t do it today as they was busy bearing in mind to take a wheel of takes less than a minute.. so I went to qwick fit they said straight away Halfords couldn?t have even looked? if you care about your or your kids safety don?t go here!

Rubbish. Don't do the work they say they've done. Don't keep you informed of what's going on and work done to a poor standard. I would suggest getting your vehicle checked by a third party after having work done....you'll probably find that it hasn't been done. Can?t thank these guys enough for all their help. Went in last month and had some issues with my tyres (which nearly led to a mental breakdown) but the team were super helpful and reassured me that it would be sorted. I have got very bad experience from Rotherham store as they don?t communicate clearly with customers and don?t treat them well and also don?t listen carefully.moreover, they don?t reconfirm things like anything needs to fix regarding any fault that customer wants or not?.they straight away tell you report and makes your time waste?

Sent an email receipt for goods bought by someone else to my email address. I have never even been to Rotherham let alone shopped in this store. How safe is your data when it's sent to a total stranger.I will be closing my online account with them tomorrow morning.

Booked a repair check via the website because I'd had a very positive customer experiences at Rotherham retail store, visited 3/4 times over last year. I received excellent customer service, good advice from knowledgeable and helpful staff and the cherry on the top was extremely competitive prices. I bought a replacement glass wing mirror for £7 half what it costs at £14 at bullseye motor.Because of this I signed up to Halfords motoring club in store which is how I learnt about the auto Centre whilst having a free 10 points car health check.Based on my previous experience of Halfords & cos i am having problems with my 2009 polo handling unsure if it's steering or suspension,Halfords website offer a free repair check to diagnose the issue in these scenarios, providing a quote to rectify with no obligation atHalfords autocentres.On 20 feb I booked via web for 23 feb 11.30 but then realised on the 21st I was at Docs so I tried to amend online. This wasn't possible I was told to phone local autocentre Rotherham parkgate to rearrange.I rang and rebooked 11.30 Mon 27 Feb.That Monday morning I rang before leaving for my appointment to ask if they had customer waiting area as it was very cold out and if not I would walk to home bargains and dress in warm clothes.The man who answered the phone told me I wasn't booked that day - it was booked the following day - Tuesday at 11.30.I said that's very strange as I'm moving house & taking the cat to the vet but not to worry I need my car fixing so will come Tues.I arrived at 11:30 Tue 28 March - a handsome young man sat on reception, i explained re repair check and he said you mean a safety check? I replied no and explained the situation. I also explained that I've got a text message confirmation from the original appointment that showed it was a repair check.I asked him how long they need car as I will go to shop while I wait but had to be back to get the cat to vet in Sheffield for 3.30. school rush hour lol.I was absolutely gobsmacked when his response was "it depends what's on the ramps at 12:30 as they all have dinner at 12:30. If we can't get it on before dinner it'll go on the ramp at 1pm" ????So I replied how long once it's on the ramp? He said an poss hour or more.I said I have to be at the vet I thought 4 hours from 1 appointment to the other would be ampleHe said the only other option was to rebook it for another day ?I drove off extremely frustrated as I'm moving house and I am up to my eyes ATM.I will never go to Halfords autocentre again and I would definitely NOT recommend. To be honest I made me feel like I was a time waster & that is absolutely not the case.It's a real shame because Halfords are clearly doing a lot with their retail stores, their pricing & product range. Retail website is also very good.It's definitely pulled me in because I wouldnt have chosen Halfords retail as my first choice to buy anything car related.The reason I went into store first time was because its nearby - it was 3pm on a Sunday but I needed a new car battery mine literally died and I was driving long-distance the next day.I thought it would be expensive however a top spec battery fitted installed in their car park by them was on par with other online retailers specialising in batteries. That was a big surprise.It's a real shame when Halfords are clearly trying to work hard to improve the brand and their customer base. The retail staff are a credit to the company but the autocentre are deffo not!They are damaging the company reputation and undoing the good work from storesThe Auro Centre man was cocky with a bad attitude and was very unprofessional.They completely wasted my time.I will still go to retail stores but I'll never go to an auto centre again

Horrible service. I booked it on 17th Jan first. Got a call from the centre and rescheduled for 20th Went for free brake check and might take the paid service if needed. I come here 10am. Been told it may take 2 hours, no problem then been told another 2 hours, said no problem again. Then been told soon will be. Don?t know when it will be checked. Even the guy was in reception it seems to me doesn?t care. I took service before from halford in London which was the best. Never againService: Brakes

Took a tyre in with a screw in it. Was told that the tyre was worn uneven and this would damage the wheel bearing on my car. He didn't know I was a mechanic and I know this doesn't happen. Took my car somewhere else, they said tyre worn even and I felt the tyre myself while rotating it. Guy at Halfords trying to rip me off.
