I REALLY need my money for the products I sold you guys yesterday. You can't seem to be reached in any way.
Okay, so I already filed a complaint against you guys with the Rotherham Council. Okay, the police is next I guess...The only problem is that I should have been paid two days ago, not make any enquiries and wait two days for a one response a day reply. This was one of the worst experiences of my life and the first time in my life I had to report someone robbing me and being too incompetent/indifferent to even bother to do their job. What kind of pawn shop takes days to even pay you for something usually done by any other shop on the spot?

Felt very uncomfortable and the service wasn?t the best.
I went into the store earlier this afternoon (23/06/25) to trade in some Nintendo switch, ps4 games and a backbone accessory.
I was asked would I like to trade these to which I said yes.
I believe there was some confusion however as the store assistant gave me a voucher instead of cash.
I apologised for the confusion and took responsibility but the assistant just seemed ticked off and she was quickly backed up by her colleague who stated very quickly ?you did say you wanted a voucher, I heard you say it?
I wasn?t denying any of these claims and again apologised but was made to feel very uncomfortable.
As she was carrying out the corrected transaction and gave me a new price (from £123 to £69) I asked if I could give her a pound coin to round the amount up to £70 so I could take notes instead of carrying around pound coins.
The response was just ?no sorry I?ve put it through the till now?. No empathy or anything.
I get that the staff have to put up with reprobates on a day to day basis and il admit my patience would be wearing thin but if a customer apologised and took responsibility, there is no need to take a stand offish approach and make them feel uncomfortable.
We all make mistakes and this isn?t the way to go about resolving anything.

Visited this store last week. The manager was quite rude and on the phone loudly complaining about staff stealing. Didn't look very professional. Surely there's a back room for that kind if thing.

Drove 25 minutes to trade some DVDs in at the rotherham store, they just didn't want to do the work, they said " you do know you will get 1p per DVD" but we'd already searched what price the company would give us for trade in online and some was £8 each for the boxsets we had, I still wanted to go ahead and trade them in and I mentioned how they would only be going in the bin, in which one of the male workers then piped up with " yeah that's what we do put them in the bin " I find that very hard to believe that the company they work for quotes £8 for some of the boxsets we had for you to put them in the bin, anyway as I still wanted to continue they then said it would be an hour, which would have been fine but with all this happening I decided I'd trade them in to my local branch in Barnsley, if any of what we was told about them going in the bin was true why would it take an hour, as I say they just didn't want to do some work. Avoid!

Yes the disappointment I had was the staff working wouldn't even look at the DVD's brought in to the store, I am well aware of the process and checked prices online beforehand which is how I knew some of the items was worth £8, they looked at the bag and couldn't be bothered to carry out your process. Maybe its time to get new staff, we took our DVD's to the Barnsley branch which was very busy with it been a Saturday afternoon and a much bigger store but was still very happy to take the bag with no questions and we received an email with payment been processed within the hour which matched the prices quoted online not just 1p each which the staff at Rotherham would have known if they'd have been bothered to even look.

The staff clearly have very little to no customer service skills, the majority of the time they are looking at the computer monitor and talking really quietly, I was having to ask them to keep repeat what they were saying. The prices they offer on the goods you wish to sell are very low, while the items they are selling are expensive. All round it's not a good to shop.

I can?t say about every staff member at this store but the few I?ve had the displeasure of dealing with were incredibly rude. I?m not entirely sure what these people even do to ?check? when you trade in a console. I went to trade in an Xbox one and a 2nd. I was told the Xbox was worth less than half than what was quoted online because of a few very small scratches to the case which had no effect on the actual performance of the console, I would understand not offering the full quoted amount but not even half was beyond a joke was genuinely take aback by the offer. With the 2ds not only had they not even checked it, they had the gall to tell me it was defective and wouldn?t read any games, the very second I got home I checked and what do you know, it worked perfectly and read every game I tried. Just to add insult to injury they didn?t give me back the charger for the 2ds. I would obviously go back and get it if it wasn?t for the fact I genuinely never want to see any of the complete idiots that ?work? there ever again. If I could give negative stars I would. Never go to this store, go to Sheffield or Doncaster.

Lovely shop been coming here years although the cashiers get picker and picker by the day, came in to sell some games but I had forgotten my id which was fair game the young cashier said I just needed something with my name and face on it I then ran home and back for my phone which had my digital id which I?ve used to sell games before which then another cashier blurts out as the younger one remains silent I?m told that I need a physical official id so he sent me on my way completely disregard the fact I asked him several times to look up my account (which I?ve had for nearly 2 decades) on his computer which would have given him all the information he needed but I suppose lazy is as lazy does

Wow upon my re-visit to the Rotherham store, I was amazed by the excellent customer service & help received by Matt upon my new PlayStation purchase. He was amazing. Very friendly & went above & beyond to ensure I had a good experience. Matt is a credit to the company. The best customer experience I have had in my life by far. Well done mate. Even today when I went back he was great. The tall Lady with blonde hair was also very helpful the other day when resolving an issue. Very satisfied with my purchase. Will be back. Thank you.
