Just been for an eye test, never again at boots in Rotherham parkgate.Firstly, queuing for 10 mins while staff where stood chatting.When I finally got seen half the equipment faulty, however on a positive the optician was good and I needed glasses. So the optician took me to the glasses and very quickly chose what I wanted. The optician said he'll get a staff to sort it out for me.... I stood there in the middle of the opticians like a plum for what seemed FOREVER!! and no one came to see me even though there were 2 staff at the entrance chatting and laughing amongst themselves.After a while waiting and waiting while the staff ignored me and just laughed and gossiped amongst themselve I went to the counter asked to pay for the test ONLY! and walked out without anyone (staff) asking if everything was alright, was I being seen too (no) etc etc.... They were too busy chatting and gossiping with themselves!! The staff really need to think about the customer and not gossip with other members of staff!!It was ridiculous.. I left without glasses that I NEED and I will not go back and I will definitely Not recommended them

My husband and I had an excellent experience at the opticians. Nick the boots assistant took care of us and made us feel very comfortable through the whole thing. Couldn't have asked any more of her or the very professional optician who did our tests.

Just been in to get new glasses, 3 assistants in, 2 stood gossiping and the other ignored me twice when I said excuse me, walked out and will go elsewhere.

I have nothing but praise for Boots opticians at Parkgate. This was my first experience of having an eye test for many years and my first ever of prescription glasses being made up for me. I cannot fault the care and attention that was shown and everything that was done to make my appointment as pleasant as possible. From the test itself to the process of choosing frames. I was never rushed or pushed and any questions I asked were answered in ways that made it easy to understand and make informed choices. My glasses were ready in just over a week and the same time, care and consideration was shown when I went to collect. I'm still getting used to using my readers but first impressions are that they seem perfect and are going to really help me see much better than I have been. Thanks to all the staff who helped me with that, especially Karen, Faisel and Rachel.

What a fantastic experience i had when I visited boots opticians in Parkgate i was looked after by Katie and Michelle, customer support and customer service were 10 out of 10, they reassured me and answered all my questions the eye test i received brilliant and things were explained to me every step of the way. I would highly recommend boots Parkgate to anyone needing an eye test in fact I've already recommended several friends

Had a call on Friday to say they had a cancellation for a contact lens check at 2.20pm, I said I would only have 30 mins because I had to collect my children from school, they said no problem it wouldn't be any longer. I had a phone call on Sunday asking if I was still OK for thr appointment with a foww up text and email. I called them on Monday to say I had a red irritates right eye and wouldn't be able to put my contact lenses in so did thry want me to cancel, they Said d not they would check all was OK. I eaited 30 mins to be seen and mentioned i had 10 mins left before I had to leave. After 10 mins still no one saw me so had to leave. I won't use them again.

Friendly staff on site...but never answer the phone! Long wait on contact lenses other wise would have rated a 5

Lovely service had today by Sam, Katie and the team. Great advice given in regards to caring for my eyes and although no prescription needed for myself, staff were friendly and helpful and I was able to use a voucher for a free eye test for myself and my partner. Would definitely visit here again.

Very poor experience. After receiving my prescription following my eye test, I was asked to leave the department (10 mins before closing) and to come back the following day to choose my glasses. After returning to the store to choose them, I then had to wait a week before collecting, however on collection, they had made a few errors with the prescription and had to send them away again. Another week later I went to collect them only to be told they had not yet arrived. At this point Iâ??d had enough, cancelled the order and claimed a refund. Poor customer service Boots!
