Absolutely disgusting service today off an arrogant member of staff , didn't get her name, refused a refund for my mum who returned a silver chain that broke within a day of purchase, saying she broke it herself , obviously the item was poor quality, won't be using argos again unless it's sorted . Employ staff who are willing to deal with customers in an acceptable manner!

Sadly, the Manager on shift today was rude and unprofessional (with another customer whilst I was present also). I was asked the reason for returning an item, to which he replied my reason was wrong. How he knows about my personal experiences is a mystery. He told me the device was defective without running any tests, it wasn?t. In the end, I just stopped communicating with him and allowed him to continue in an unpleasant manner. Poor example to set for his team!

Ordered wardrobes online, order was incomplete and been waiting 7 days for my order to be collected and I've called 3 times to sort this. I'm £300 down and stuck with 2 half orders of wardrobes.

Served by 2 separate ladies on the till. Very helpful, positive, and excellent customer service from them! Brilliant!!!

You?re waiting and waiting and waiting and waiting. The staff can see you waiting but don?t do anything you?re waiting in the online order Q which is the wrong queue but they won?t tell you that they make it look like there?s only one member of staff on duty when in fact there?s two or three, they never look up to see who?s waiting or whether they can actually help anybody so you get to the end of the queue and you go to someone and they say oh you?re in the wrong queue That is disgusting

Bought a kettle from Rotherham parkgate store and took it home but mrs didnt like it so tried returning it but they refused to refund because they said i had used the kettle when i hadnt. Stay well clear from this branch as they are rude and will lie to you so that they dont have to refund you. Took the same kettle back to another branch and they refunded my money without any hassle.

Shame to see that the customer service is still as bad and rude as ever at parkgate store. Click and collect took me over me over 25 minutes from walking in to leaving, even though I was one of the first in the store within 5 mins of opening time. I was first in the click and collect queue but she called over the other woman in the other queue first even though she actually followed me in the store, I'm obviously visibly physically disabled hence using the click and collect. When I finally got served she pointed at the seat area and said sit there....after 10 minutes she shouts she meant I needed to requeue in the taped off area....as that bench was for returns.... so made me stand yet another 10 minutes which I struggle with hence why I normally order from Amazon nowadays as customer service is top notch! The only staff visible was One female staff doing the job of 2 ( on till and floor runner) when the next staff ( Lee A) strolled in 10 minutes later and then instantly set about embarrassing the poor fella wanting to return obviously faulty goods/ not fit for purpose and losing his cool with him 8 times before I left later on the poor guy finally gave up and left at same time as myself. Staff was raising his voice rolling eyes and talking down to the customer, nice and loud so everyone in-store watched the debacle each time he said he wouldn't refund or replace( obviously the customer wasn't understanding ) he got louder and more disrespectful. However the staff wasn't actually explaining why the refund wasn't allowed but just kept saying "it's been used " and laughing, even though the customer kept repeating over and over in a calm manner it was within the refund time and was obviously confused. I could understand if it had been an electrial shaver or something but it wasn't. Obviously staff need to be aware of the not fit for purpose clause. At this point I remembered why I have only used the meadowhall and when the Rotherham store was open as the customer service in years after having to once argue my rights with a staff member at parkgate years ago! The Rotherham town shop was always leagues apart to the parkgate store for customer service. I remember once wondering if the staff have their wages deducted or get reprimanded if they allow returns?? I've been employed and self employed all my life and rule of thumb....if you're not happy with where you work to the point you speak to customers badly...then change career!... I will be returning what I bought to a different store, as the sheer thought of having to argue my legal rights with an uneducated lout isn't how I roll. This is why the Parkgate shop is holding on by the skin of its teeth, never busy like it used to be .
