I heard about Alton through various friends and family. So when I was given a choice as to who to send my vehicle to for repairs, they were my first choice. They didn't disappoint and kept me up to date throughout. They even managed to finish repairs earlier than the original anticipated date too ? 2384

Very bad experience with this company, my car come back after taking 5 months to repair with parts swapped on it, this is now costing me nearly £1000 to have put right. Alton cars are refusing to accept responsibility for the parts being swapped, even know they have had pictures sent and you can clearly see the part does not fit its surroundings, the NOX sensor was screwed in finger tight and the module for it was just hanging down, not even bolted back in place. the NOX sensor and control unit is clean with no dirt on it and everything else around it is dirty. I went back to the branch within 5 min of collecting the car as the car was smoking badly, they said its probably because the car has not been driven for a while. Turns out it was because this sensor had been swapped. now I have AdBlue malfunction issues and NOX sensor issues. I have had 3 garages and a qualified assessor look at the pictures and car and all 4 have said they believe this part has been swapped. Alton cars wont accept responsibility for the part being swapped whilst the car was in there care. I have no option but to take it to court now as Alton cars wont put it right. People need to be aware of this company, if your car is sent there from the insurance company that parts might be swapped on your vehicle and they will refuse to accept any responsibility.

Decent service. Garage recommended by car insurance provider after I was in an accident. My only fault would be the time taken to repair which was 2 months!!! Completion date was estimated at end of December and then pushed back a few times which was frustrating. However, the garage was transparent about the delays with parts before making a start on my repairs, so I think these delays are fair enough. Over all, impressed with the repairs though.

Regan and Rebecca were the most welcoming and friendly people I have encountered. They kept me up to date on all the repairs and were always quick to reply to my emails. Their service took the stress away from what could be a very stressful situation. 1399

My car went in for repairs with Alton cars and to be honest I was very sceptical after some reviews due to the special limited edition paint applied to my vehicle from factory but guess what within 5days I had it back and most importantly impressed with how good it looks again I will highly recommend them as for me it?s a 10/10 satisfaction good communication from the reception to the Worshop manager really thank you

Not a happy experience!They cancelled the first date they gave us to take our car in and then kept our car for weeks after telling us it would be 2-3 weeks!Then on collection we found some damage that was not on the car when we took it in and fortunately it was verified by photos taken when it went in and it had to go back in again!

Insurance chose Alton to repair my car. They said it would take 3 days, and it did take bang on 3 days, can't fault them. I was also pleasantly surprised to see that they washed and vacuumed the inside of my car. It is very much appreciated. Thank you for a good service.

Had a door replaced and a couple of panels resprayed following a no fault accident. Alton were my insurers choice.Really happy with the end result. The work itself was speedy enough, taking just a week.My only gripe is that i had no updates on estimated completion date despite being promised. I tried calling many times with no answer. Emailing did generate a response to say the car was ready for pick up! This resulted in a panic and rush to collect the car as the insurers text an hour later to day the hire car needed returning immediately. Some notice would have been helpful as not everyone can pop out of work to deal with this.

Following an accident that wasn't my fault my car was allocated to Alton Cars by my insurer. I needed a full rear bumper repair including dent removal to the boot panel and the rear quarter panel, then finishing with Gard X paint protection on my Audi A1.I am thrilled with the quality of the repairs completed. My car is now in as new condition again.I was on holiday outside of the country when the repairs went underway but Nick at Alton Cars Rotherham went above and beyond in communicating between myself and the insurer to resolve the issue of damage costing that arose while I was away. I am thrilled with the service provided by everyone at Alton Cars and would absolutely use them for any future car repair needs.My car was also washed and vacuumed by Alton Cars prior to collection.They also have a partnership with Enterprise Car Rental and had I needed to I could have left my courtesy car with Alton Cars when picking up and gransferring back to my own car to make life easier.Five Stars.
