This cafe is very convenient for people using the transpennine trail which runs alongside it. I had a large tea cake stuffed with well-cooked bacon, a mug of coffee and got change out of £5. I sat outside and it was shortly brought to my table They only take cash or bank transfer. Car parking is available outside the cafe and there are bike stands as well.

I stopped here for a late breakfast during a 3-day ride along the TPT, having just come over the Pennines. What an absolute gem of a cafe! Really great value for a hungry cyclist.
Note that they don't accept card payments - which may be an issue if you're travelling light.

What a fantastic little place Julie's Cafe is. All good is prepared fresh which means you have to wait a while , and the portions are very generous. The good was tasty too. Will certainly visit again when in the area.
